I'm back from my holiday. I hope everyone had a nice break; I know I did. I had the chance to see my family again. I had this video ready 2 weeks ago, but I've decided I'll postpone it until the holidays are over, just to try to see if the views will get better. P.S.: I've also postponed the winter giveaway so I'll catch more people online. The first character my brother ever made was a night elf Druid. Back when we shared an account because I was too young to own one myself. Arriving at Darkshore you feel like “oh now we’re in the real world”.. leaving the protection of Telsrassil and city of Darnassus. This zone has a darkness unique to the alliance factions. Much like Silverpine Forest as a horde equivalent. Thanks Meisio!
I mentioned this on your Teldrassil video, about my first experience in WoW. I started playing towards the very end of wotlk. I got my trial character to Darkshore and thought it was an incredible place. By the time I actually bought the game, Cataclysm was released. Didn't notice much of a difference in Teldrassil, but then I got to Darkshore and was really confused because I had remembered the big dock and the town looked different. When I found Auberdine... dear lord... it hurt. I didn't even know what had happened. Just that the faint memory I had of this place was now that of ruins. Cata gets a lot of crap for destroying the old world, but I'll be damned if I didn't say I was immersed because of the timing I had in playing right between expansions.
Darkshore! Even ravaged by the Cataclysm it's still a place I always find a reason to level in. The moment you arrive in Lor'danel from Teldrassil, it's enchanting yet still shadowed by an ancient darkness waiting to be explored. Thanks for capturing the magic. Many blessings upon you and yours ❤
I spent hours here when I first made a worgen alt, I loved it so much. There was this one quest where you had to kill a demon or something inside a cave, but I was still a noob at the time and thought the npc was at the top of this one mountain I just couldn't climb LOL it frustrated me so much. Imagine my reaction when I finally found that the npc I had to kill was inside a cave. Thank you for your continued uploads, Mesio. This game means a lot to me.
That quest caused me to die in Stranglethorn Vale. In Darkshore I'm pretty sure you jump into the vortex of water and it teleports you into the cave. There is a similar thing in Stranglethorn Vale so upon discovering it I thought "oh cool, another hidden quest" but as I jumped into it, on impact the vortex killed me instantly. I was pissed 😅
Auberdine was to me what Goldshire was for the human players. I loved it and the surrounding area, so I hated seeing it destroyed this way. I'm glad we got Classic, so I could go back to what it was.
Thanks Meisio for these videos. I’m 32 old now, but when I watch this, I back to my 15. When I created my first character, night elf Druid and exploring the world with those first expressions… wow more than a game for me, it’s literally part of myself or soul.
While I never really played with Nightelves that much, I always found Darkshore an interesting place to be. The music of the zone nicely delivers the racial themes, while it has it's own touch on them. Thank You very much for collecting these tunes, and let us wander around the Shores! I wish you great year, both on youtube and in your life! I hope that this year I can further explore this world with you. :-)

Teldrasil, Darkshore, Ashenvale was my first WoW leveling route. These first maps will remain in my heart until i die.

Oh man, exactly same story for me and my brother. I was a night elf hunter :)
Darkshore is one of my favourite Zones - all time!

Darkshore and Loch Modan
For such a dark place in WoW, the music is strangely soothing.
Thank you Meiso!
