@@Happymali10 can confirm, am german - some places I've had a beer: a park bench. a concrete pingpong table. an abandoned petting zoo. a fountain in town square. in front of the Kelly Family's castle. several riverbanks. underneath an art museum at night. on an outrigger in the Danube river. on top of a mountain. in a forest in winter. by the tent of a couple of strangers from Australia who had brewed their own and were keen to gather some feedback from locals. sitting on a stage. behind a stage. at school. in a wheat field. while hugging a statue. at a mcdonald's. at school but officially. actually inside a brewery which was fun but stank to high heaven. in front of a cathedral. in front of a museum. on a cliff overseeing a lake. honestly, now that I think about it I've had more beers outside of pubs and clubs than inside them.

As a Bavarian, i think they captured the costumes and setting really well representing Bavaria 100ish years ago.

@@Gilhadriel nah, that’s a steyr from the ‘50s or so. It’s not a model 15, perhaps a model 25. The whole video is (imo) a bit of a send up of the ‘heimat film’ genre and straight up gave me bad flashbacks of my youth growing up in Austria. Especially that effing tractor. Because of course my grandfather just couldn’t spend the extra few schillings to get an electric starter. My shoulder still hurts, nearly 40 years later…

the song itself doesn't seem to have a deeper meaning but in combination with the video it leaves a lot of room for interpretation the fact that till is portrayed as blind and is trampling an edelweiss in the end seems like he is blind to the beauty of life in his pursuit of one specific thing while being sorounded by said thing the entire time.
or that he is an idiot, ignores that edelweiss is under protection and the most important things are dicke titten😅 i hope that my interpretation is not the real meaning🙈

You could interpred him disregarding all things about live and beauty also in the text (Sie muss nicht schön sein. Sie muss nicht klug sein, Nein!) and the lonelynes ofthe protagonist being traped in his fetish fantasy of a woman that can't be fullfilled. But that's just overinterpretation on my part.

The two little boys are doing some Rammstein references, for example doing Till's signature move, when he is hammering his knee. And when they are playing with the doll, it is a reference to the song "Puppe" and to their pyrotechnics on stage. Love how they put these tiny little details into the video.

Everytime Rammstein comes out with a video, I think its the most German thing ever. Then the next one is even more voilently German. I love it.

When listening to this song, I am always amazed at just how *well* old-timey Volksmusik and Industrial are meshed here.
Seriously, it feels, as if these two very different music styles just belong together.
Now I want a Doom-like FPS set in the Bavarian/Austrian Alps underscored with that kind of music mesh^^

...that makes me feel a bit better about it. I was going to comment on how shallow and misogynistic the title and chorus are (I'm only at the first chorus in the video right now), but this interpretation makes it better.

Tickets are still available! Highly recommend, it's a smaller very affordable festival with a great vibe. Everyone gets a 'Skullpul' at the entrance, a (plastic) 1L beer glass formed like a skull

The video location is a village called "Ellmau" in Tirol, Austria.
It's like 20 minutes with the car away from where i live.
End credits should be normal with video clips and not only in movies. It's not just the band at work and it's respectful. Rammstein also has a end credit after the live show.
And I am also curious about your reaction to Lindemann's solo project. Till has a live dvd.
100% agree with you. I always have a ton of respect for the bands that actually include credits in the videos, or at the very least put them in the descriptions of the videos.

I thank Rammstein for the Outro !!! We have in Swabian so much festivals who are act like this. I love music like this and i hear and love Rammstein since iam 14 (2004).

side note: The official cover is from "LaBrassBanda", who are a brass band from Übersee in Bavaria. They made it to the national audition for ESC and made the 2nd place. That 2nd place caused a smaller shit storm, because they were favoured by peoples votes, but got almost no points from the jury.

Industrial metal is one of my top favourite metal genres and this band is one of the reasons why. Also fun fact about myself I almost could have been German, as my Grandad was engaged to a German woman sometime in the 50s or 60s before he met my grandmother so I am English/British.
As Rammstein started in 1994 they called the music genre themselves as "Dancing Metall" (Tanzmetall) 🤣

Love him or hate him, Rammstein are like Marylin Manson with the riffs...they both know hot to make a metal riff that makes you headbang and move and it gets stuck in your head forever.

One of the few times I heard them use something other than straight-up barre chords and I've been listening to these guys for 25 years.
There is a say in germany, that you shouldn't listen to Rammstein while beating schnitzel, because it doesn't fit into the pan anymore after that. Think that they wanted to show in this scene, that they are aware of that say. ;)
For me "Dicke Titten" is the second best song after "Angst" on that album.
I prefer 'Zeit', but that's personal, not about the quality of riffs, clearness of voice, or anything like that, just content.
@@dutchman7623 All three songs mentioned in these comments are top tier, in my books. "Zeit" is just an epic, beautiful song, "Angst" is more for when I'm feeling aggressive, and "Dicke Titten" is just for some good fun.
Whenever I am preparing Schnitzel while listening to rammstein, I can cut them in smaller pieces because the became twice the size!

So far I haven't seen anyone who has noticed the little thing , the flowers that Till steps on are very rare and strictly protected in the Alpine region - das Edelweiss - Grüße aus Bayern (Germany)
the music video for rosenrot is about climbing a mountain to get a edelweiss to prove your love to your future wife.
To be fair, as an American, I don't think I'd have a good shot at recognizing rare flowers from a region outside of my country, let alone from my own country. Hahaha
@@TankTheTech I think it's one of those provocations that Rammstein is known for. I myself do a lot of mountaineering in Austria, Italy, Germany and Switzerland and this flower is very rare to find.
I noticed that immediately. But then again, I'm from Europe and I've been to the Alps a couple times.
What i really like about the guitar riff besides being heavy af is that there's this short little break after a palm mute which makes the riff less static and even heavier in my opinion.

Love this song! Only Rammstein seem to just have some fun with their art. They know their fans aren’t going to judge them, they’re not being unkind to women or anything either. It’s such a surprising heavy song when you first listen too, then you giggle. Love it.

Rammstein definitively love to play around and having fun with their art.
This song/video ... to me is playing around with sexual urges or (imagined) obsessions all embedded in strict and visible normatives. I also see juggling cis and trans or crossdressing stuff. And then there's the vowed celibate ... and that man with the twines looking just a bit too long when other men are crossing ... during the credits part.
Blindness ... and the clear lyrics ... certainly means playing around with seeing/unseeing.
To me one of the core things Rammstein are doing ... is portraying the "normal" and the "weird" and mixing things up. There's no explicit judgement included ... so people may understand it however they like. As an affirmation of "the traditional order", as a challenge to the very same thing or something else ... It's kind of a situational harsh and emotional nature documentary style refusing to take sides or explain things.
That’s always been one of their best qualities is they can just make something that’s dumb or fun or they can make something super fucked up that has a much deeper meaning or somewhere in between or even both they’re not afraid to make anything which is a great quality in my book
In meiner Jugendzeit hat früher jeder Linkin Park und Eminem gehört..ich habe nur eine Band gefeiert und das war und ist bis heute Rammstein. Keine andere Rock Band hat über so viele Jahre so viele Facetten gezeigt.

Its a really fun song, loved the extra sounds of the brass instruments and all the ambient they created in their video with the ambient and their clothes.

When I read the song title on the album I had expected it would once again be a video that can only be seen on other video platforms or that there are multiple versions of it, but I was pleasantly surprised and they kept it rather harmless. The thing I like best about this: It's a song about large hooters and still you get visuals that drive you to think about what the real meaning of the song could be. I always expect them to make some statement with any of their songs, sometimes it's obvious, sometimes it's not. :)

As a local people from munich: Believe me, the Oktoberfest is only a special Area for people, who wants to get drunk with beer, that cost over 12 Euro per litre. In the end, the oktoberfest is so german like cowboys and disneyland in america. Rammstay plays in this video with this stereotype pictures about germany. In the end Lindemann he crushed the flower "Edelweiß" on the rock. This flower is a synonym for the whole alp area and americas one side view of germany.
I disagree even though I've had lots of nights out ending like this and probably would do so again. But at some point I realised how fucked up it is to not being able to walk and being ditched or lost by "friends" as a male it's kinda ok, got robbed once and one time I woke up because some weirdo was touching me. Also, it's not even *that* juvenile when you listen to the whole lyrics. They paint quite the funny-sad picture about this aging lonely man who just wants a woman with big boobs. I can't help but hope he finds one, somehow.
I see additionally a lot of social almost feminist ideas: The overflow of milk for example. Breast are made for milk productions, cows have BIG tits in a way, they are milked, women have to hide theirs (end credits!) and some men love it if they have large breasts and maybe Rammstein here asks why? Do they appreciate a bigger milk production? :D

Who else could do that besides Rammstein? Combining folk music and hard rock in such a way that it's just awesome. The lyrics are awesome because they are profound. The videos are so well made that some Hollywood movies can't compete with them. A blind Till who has no idea that everything he wants is already there! Just crazy!

The video is shot in Austria you can see that in the credits (Ellmauer hof - Saalbach). Which makes the flower he steps on at the end an Edelweiss flower. It's the national flower of Austria, it's long been a feature of Austrian Mountaineering culture, and was at points also featured in the emblems of the Austria Mountain Ranger corps, and as a American of our age it's also a flower whose name should be tickling your mind, it's featured fairly heavily in the "Sound of Music" with Julie Andrews.

I'm a very big Rammstein fan. Have been since 1996. This Album is amazing. It shot up to almost bring my favorite. I'm not the best at change. Mutter has always been my favorite. Lol
