Honestly Im usually too lazy to DIY - especially messier projects - because I dont have the space for it and dont want to do it in my living room. Jorge, i just gotta tell you that my 78 year old Puerto Rican mom thinks you're cute and adorable...lol...cracks me up. Love the faux black leather idea. Try pricing marine leather which is a bit more expensive but a better product since what you have is classic and timeless.

I love the teak shell bowl...I definitely would have picked that up. I also love the mcm chairs. I grew up in a home full of mcm furniture and have always loved that style. So glad to see it making a comeback.

Jorge, great scores! I also look at houses and furniture that I don’t intend to buy. It’s just fun! I do have luck at Home Goods! Two very dangerous places for my wallet are Target and HomeGoods. I love to get baskets, candles, and I have gotten a few decor pieces. Christmas time is not a good time to buy things that are not holiday related in Home Goods. Most of the store is dedicated to the Holidays.

I rarely have luck at home goods. If I’m looking for something specific-like a good piece of art- then I know I have to go often (like every day for a month) and as soon as soon as the store opens.
I’d keep all the chairs! They’re gorgeous, you could use 8 of them around a big dining table if you have the space, and a pair somewhere else like in a bedroom? Another great vlog!

First I hear of "the future shop." Wow, keep us posted on that! Cool chairs -- def reupholster them! What are the columns made of? I like the 3 of them together, especially if you raise one of the fluted ones to median height. PS Your sunglasses are the bee's knees!
Oh I hope you didn't re-cover those chairs, with a good clean they would come up beautifully! It's such a nice natural colour/texture and keeping the original upholstery keeps the value too. Hi from Australia where we don't have Home Goods, and my wallet is grateful 😅
I found a house for my guy last year but I still get emails from the broker daily on houses that are for sale. And I still look through them just to see them! Haha Although it usually triggers the realtor and she will message me asking if I’m ready to buy 😂. I have tons of videos on the house of projects it needs I just have anxiety about editing but I’ll get there soon! Haha Love your videos!
Also I’m always on OfferUp at night and I will Message people and then have to wind up buying it the next day 😂. But I get really cool stuff! People always think I’m a interior designer when they see my place.
Oh Jorge, PLEASE don't reupholster them because that textured fabric looks perfect but just needs to be professionally cleaned. I love the color of the wood as it is, just needs some oiling. I hope you keep the original MCM integrity of them as much as possible. :)
Also, don't sell the others. Some day you'll have a bigger dining room and you'll wish you had them all. You'll be able to have 10 around your dining table and two like against the wall on each side of your credenza. :)

The chairs were made by the BP John furniture company out of Portland Oregon in 1962 or 63. I have a st and love them.
