This video is so easy to view. The other videos seem to focus on the chef rather than the process. Just cooked my first brown rice and it came out perfectly.

Thanks! This is my first rice cooker and I was very confused about the "Oster cups". Your video explained it perfectly. I'm so glad you cooked several types of rice and explained any adjustments that you made. Your videos are extremely helpful.

Loving all your videos of different rice. I bought this one myself. I'm glad you're putting them to the test. Keep them coming!

I’m glad I watched this because I have that same model of rice cooker and I was thinking that it was going to be quicker. Knowing now that it’s going to take a while, I’m gonna wait until I actually have at least two hours to prepare.

Of all the different types of rice I've used, wild rice takes to longest to cook. It's very tasty though with a nutty flavor.

I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure that rice is also a seed from a specific species of grass :) But i understand what you mean. (a different species of grass)

I'm just using a local grocery store brand in the video. Wild rice when uncooked is all dark brown in color. After it cooks, it's more varied from dark to lighter brown. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching! :)

I think you can cook wild rice with 1 cup and 10 cups of water for even 2 hours in stove. Then strain it.

The purpose of this video was to show how to use this particular rice cooker. I have a series of videos showing how I use this cooker for different grains and pasta recipes.

I bought this exact rice cooker based on your videos!!! However, it seems to burn the bottom of my rice each time I use it. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe a faulty pot? Thank you!

I'm not sure what could be causing your rice to burn. You may want to contact Oster about it. What type of rice are you using? First check to make sure you've added enough water, especially cooking brown rice. It tends to need a bit more water than white varieties. Second, after the rice cooker is done and clicks over to the keep warm cycle, make sure to not let the cooker stay in this mode too long or it could cause the bottom to burn over time. I have found with mine that the rice stays hot for quite some time even if I unplug the cooker after the cooking cycle is finished. Hope some of this helps. :)

@@helpfulnatural Thank you so much! I think it was an issue with how much water I was using. I love this rice cooker!
