I love how at the end you said that since you're not a makeup artist you don't need all these different shades because that's something I struggle with. We watch all of these beauty vloggers and makeup artists here on youtube that get sent collections for PR and also do freelance, so it makes sense that they have a large quantity of makeup, but when watching I forget that this is their job and that I'm just one person doing this for fun. It's wasteful for me to collect so many products that I probably won't hit pan on so I'm excited to realize this and try to work through my products.

This video is right on time for me! I was just going through my makeup collection and realized that I have a million gold/bronze/copper eyeshadows. It's so easy to get sucked in to buying them even when there's only one shade of difference!
Great video, but a friendly reminder that you don't necessarily have to throw away unwanted makeup. Where I live there's a shelter for women who are homeless and/or victims of domestic violence. They were happy to take most of my gently used makeup (not mascara obviously, but pretty much everything else) and clothes. That way someone who can't afford to buy their own products is now able to enjoy ones I wasn't using, and the landfills stay a little less full :)
I cannot seem to cease singing the virtues of using that Hourglass bronzing powder for a setting powder. It is so finely milled and just makes my skin look heavenly -- I feel like a goddess whenever I wear it!
Great video. I have been thinking about downsizing my collection. I have been holding on to sooo many products for years...and I'm not even using them. I guess I keep them because of the amount I spent on them, but if I'm not using them (or don't like them) I've wasted the money anyway...my best bet is to stick with the things that I know work for me and not get sucked into all the hype about some of these products. Thanks for sharing...I'm motivated.

omg im doing this process and pan and declutter now videos and omg if u have up to 3 products smt u dont need declutter it but if u dont use smt sure go but u did incredible job proud of u lol amazing

dont think you cant become a minimalist because you dont fit into that category. If make-up is a huge part of who you are and it makes you happy, keep it. just remember to not keep things you dont really like or arent a huge part of your life. you're beautiful. thanks for the video, im gonna try to tackle my make-up box tonight. wish me luck

you should sell your items on depop! i have an account (@sel_) & people dont mind if items are slightly used as they get to purchase it at a cheaper price! you do especially well if you sell limited edition products!
