No one's born as a department head with sharp skills 💁. They were also junior doctors at one point. Looking down on the junior doctors is a very common trend in India at the moment. Every doctor starts of as JR and they eventually climb the ladder, sharpen the skills. Also how's it humanly possible for HOD to do rounds for 100s of patients admitted in a government medical college. It's as good as asking CEO of a company to over see the work of every rookie hired in a company😂. Hierarchy exists for a reason and things will be done as per protocols. Nevertheless in a medical college, final decision is made only after updating the unit chief/HOD. Reporters better get an idea of how things work in a medical college, before straightaway pointing fingers at doctors.

Doctors aren't machines! Media reporters doesn't get to police doctors for taking earned leaves. Especially when a department head is on leave, they always appoint acting HOD for the given period. Also how are doctors responsible for the huge gap in doctor to patient ratio? It baffles me the number of stupid questions reporters ask. Understand this, there is a huge gap in the number of doctors required for the population in India. Asking the existing staff to cover up for it all is an impossible task. If you all are concerned about it , then you should be keeping the government on their toes to make necessary changes in the medical system in the country. Also before making accusations, kindly ask for what's the standard protocols and then ask what happened in the case of that particular patient.

30-40 hrs? No I used to work 72 hrs continuously in medical College casualty not even able to change my dress, have my food at time, not able to pee. @@dreamcatcher2523 one thing i noticed among doctors is their mentality to care less for their juniors, "if i have done sleepless duties so should my juniors too", this is what my doctor friends told me, people here don't know how accesible the healthcare is, only if they go abroad they will get to know the importance of healthcare they are enjoying here, even with a severe toothpain have to wait for a week to get appointment..

If patient has vaginal infection,why not done LCS,
For vaginal infection there is no indication for cesarean section... Vaginal infection can be treated and will not mostly cause much problem...around 80 percent women coming to labour room has vaginal infection and they do delivery smoothly... sometimes vaginal can tear during delivery and may need more sutures ...Even if there is maternal infection in the form of urine infection or Chest infection...if you are going to do a Cesarean it will only worsen the mother's condition... And she may even die of sepsis ..so better to delay delivery or cs till infection subsides

@@reloaded64 i was trying to say the same thing..vaginitis even is enough for the patient to develop complications if we are going for a surgery..it can progress as peritonitis if there is internal bleeding..it can go for sepsis..and even death..and in this case the head was engaged...in such a case we cant go for a LSCS..!

Clarification must b given by special medical investigators, who knows hospital staff always give clarification or justify them,as per mothers clarification they didn't do immediate caesarean section who was the concerned mo at that time , certain govt drs still doing private consultation at home and they earn money prior to surgery then only more commitment otherwise who bothers to do excess duty,this is happening for decades ,mother of deceased baby complained of repeated pv by only house surgeons and has bleeding issues and she was kept in operation theatre for long time,may b baby got infected from this hospital and experienced drs r always lacking only students take in charge of there duty, altogether something fishy and hidding something
I work at a pvt hospital. I know each and every consultant from medical collge in this video sitting there is being offered three to four times money they make by pvt hospital. Go and look around vandanam hospital. It is full of flex by pvt hospitals. Many doctors who have joined vandanam has recently given leave and joined nearby pvt hospital after some negative news. After this news few more very good doctors are going to leave. Pediatrics and gync at medical college is very well functioning. Most of us doctors had our delivery there. Noone is talking about deaths in pvt hospital.. a professor at medical college has salary around 2 lakhs, where a junior surgeon in pvt hospital gets about 4-6 lakhs and even more.
Everything done by the doctors are recorded in the case sheets and even the councelling given to the parents are recorded and signed by the parents.
When unwanted accusations comes against hospitals especially medical colleges, then doctors stop taking any kind of risks to save a patients life. Eventually it is the common people who ia going to suffer.
Why are you bringing in some generalised statements into this particular case? They have literally explained every single thing they have done in sequential manner with date and time. They have documentation of every procedure they have done. Despite having proofs if people still go around accusing doctors, I think it'll become difficult for doctors to practice in this country. You've stated that immediate C section wasn't done. Did you know that even in an emergency C section, there will be a 10 min delay atleast to arrange an OT, OT staff, Anesthesiologist and Neonatologist. It's easier to accuse, but only people who shed their blood and sweat in the hospital wards know the pain and effort for taking care of every patient. Quoting Dr. Devi Shetty, " the worst thing is to see one of your patients you operated die. That's the worst experience. The patient dies once, but we die 100 times". A patient's death is a wound for the treating doctor. Doctors are humans, they're not God!
Hope more such incidents won't happen again and further explanations like this is not awaited in future,here compared to other countries accountability for medical negligence is practically nil that too in govt sectors and there is different attitude towards pts unlike in foreign countries that means more freedom,at last all that one can say is fate if u r lucky even in harsh conditions one can survive and also may not survive even in mild conditions

Can't blame govt always,it is the duty of local systems under govt to rectify all it's drawbacks especially overcrowding, hygiene,lack of experienced drs to supervise a max no of cases,if a collector can b questioned for disrupting there duty y the hell they don't argue with the govt to rectify it's flaws in no 1 health system in the world, patients have every rights to know the cause of there babys death no one can deny it there loss cannot b reversed no matter whats the clarification from others

അപ്പോ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ നല്ല ചികിത്സ ആണ് എന്നാണോ. കുട്ടികളാണെങ്കിലും വലിയവർ ആണെങ്കിലും ഗർഭിണികളും ചില അസുഖങ്ങൾ വന്നാൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ ശതമാനം മരിക്കും.
