You're welcome! Absolutely. One of the best pieces of advice in the video is Phil talking about how important it is for people to go out and make stuff, not just talk about it. You're already making videos, which is such a huge step in the right direction. So great work and keep it up!
Collab time for sure! Thanks for the kind words. This video definitely gave a nice boost, and hopefully we'll keep moving in this direction. Really happy that you're in the new TH-cam comedy competition. Hoping you guys come out on top!
Oh, cool. Appreciate you sharing it! This is quickly becoming the most popular video we've ever made, and it's really exciting for us to have people see it and share it. Thanks!
That's how it was when we started. In fact, none of our friends subscribed to our channel because they don't normally watch a lot of TH-cam videos. Glad the video helped!
Yeah, actually Wes addressed that very issue during the interview, but that part got cut out. And Phil also acknowledged that part of their success comes from starting on TH-cam so early.
Thanks for the cool feedback. Yeah, we've been doing the stare at the camera for a while now, and it's become our "thing." It usually makes most guests kind of uncomfortable, but in a good way. We enjoy awkwardness and allowing our guests to experience our awkwardness with us.
You guys are great. I think the non-stop stare at the camera - as opposed to a traditional interview scenario - is a cool meme that really sticks with people. It's symbolic of the overall unorthodox and clever style of your videos. Stick with it!
Keep making videos and showing them to people. It's the only way to get better. Lots of practice making videos will help you build up your skills. And the better your stuff is, the more people will like it and want to see more of your work. Good luck!
This was a really fun interview - Loved it! My HP Touchpad tablet makes that "psst" sound and every time I hear it I think of Patrick and Stephen! And LOL at the person who said they were weird for staring at the camera...haha!!! Toooooooooo funnnnnyyyyyy!! (Clearly they haven't watched ANY of your other videos!)
Yes, we are both fil-am! We don't have any behind the scenes footage, but we will be releasing a blog post with the Wong Fu guys' extended answers. Look for it by the end of the week at nationalfilmsociety[dot]com.
Getting in early helps. But getting in now is probably still early relatively speaking. It's only going to get harder as more people get in the game in the coming years and decades. So if you've already stared, you're theatrically ahead of the game. At least that's what we're hoping.
Yeah, she showed me this interview and said she really liked the way that you guys did it. She had no idea that I knew you two and that we live in the same area. So, when I do a vid in a similar style...:o ...maybe I should just have you guys help me. Collab time! I see you guys are gaining subs, awesome! Super happy for you guys - you're an under-appreciated channel that needs more love. - T
Hey Stephen its Thomas your cousin in law i think. Anyways you know the guys from Wong Fu? That's crazy. I've been subbed to them for more than a year. I've been watching some of your other videos and keep up the good work
Wow, you really did your homework. Stephen is in fact part Chinese, but not quite half. And Home Unknown is on the back burner for now. But it will be done. At some point.
lol @0:09 where you hear a pst sound for filipinos we use it to get someone's attention or when we're calling someone else. not all filipinos do it though.
My friend and I just started out with a new TH-cam Channel! All of our subscribers currently are our friends but at least they're subscribers, right? :) This advice totally helped, thanks!
Hey NFS! I like your videos~ but I think you guys need to do more things in the video... not just seat there...btw where is Ted? Imma big fan of WongFu too!!! LOL

You're welcome. It was lots of fun and honestly a dream come true to meet these guys and pick their brains about TH-cam.

Glad to hear it. That's what we were hoping would happen!

Nice! Thanks for including us, too. Your soul is beautiful.
Thanks for the honesty. Yeah, we didn't go for laughs as much on this one. But hopefully it was useful to some folks out there.

Yeah, it's actually featured pretty prominently in that room. Nice work!

We're not going to argue with you there. The Wong Fu guys are really good looking.

We should probably start using that quote everywhere we can.
You're welcome. Hope you come again and see us sometime.
Ted's still around, but he just couldn't join us for this interview. We hope to meet him, too, someday!
You are awesome! Your hard work really has paid off! Keep going strong! :)

Thank you very much!
Ted is forever there.....

You've made a wise decision. The stache is legit.
Wow, you really did your homework. Stephen is in fact part Chinese, but not quite half. And Home Unknown is on the back burner for now. But it will be done. At some point.
Welcome! If you get a chance to tell Wong Fu's other 1 million + subscribers to join you, we'd appreciate it.
