- Meanwhile in an alternate Danganronpa universe, when Sayaka Maizono's plan to murder Leon Kuwata worked but was eventually found out by the others.
Introducing Sayaka Maizono's Final Performance, one of the unused executions in Danganronpa. Sayaka is placed on a stage, with the form of a giant bear trap around her. She is required to sing in order to survive. However, just as she is about to reach her goal, her performance triggers the 'Live Show Failed' condition, a deliberate action by Monokuma. This causes the giant bear trap to slam shut, killing Maizono instantly. I'm aware that this isn't 100% accurate but I tried my best to portray it so I'm truly satisfied.
I like the inspiration for this execution; it's perfectly wacky and nerve wracking. Sayaka is literally singing for her life. I also like how psychological this execution feels; she's an idol, and she's trying to do the thing she does best to live. Like, you can feel how nervous she is, and you just know that the hand gripping the microphone is super sweaty. It adds a physical aspect to this execution, something you probably wouldn't expect at first. My only gripe with this execution is the ending. Executions are supposed to follow a natural progression, with Monokuma only intervening when it makes sense. However, it feels like he kind of cheated in this case, as it feels like he didn't expect her to actually do as well as she did.

the devs made this unused but almost every charater in the first game have executions and hers was this one where she had to to keep singing or else she die.
In case y’all were wondering, this is Sayakas canon execution.
She’d be on a bear trap, forced to sing for her life. There would be a meter at the side, and if that meter runs out, the bear trap would snap her in half. She ends up getting to the max of the meter, thus saving her life. But Monokuma would get angry and would destroy the meter. That commences the trap to... you know. Kill Sayaka.

I would like to say, I really wished she came out to be the murderer. I would also like to see how she acts in a class trial. Obviously she would be framing makoto for the murder, but what about when people start to see she is the killer? How would makoto react? Would Sayaka act desperate to him to help clear up that she's not the killer? There's just a lot of stuff left me wondering if her plan did succeed. I really think this is one of my favorite unused

@@rubirich_baddie23 Sayaka was trying to frame Makoto, but only under the assumption that it wouldn't (physically) hurt him. Then the class trials were revealed and the situation drastically changed.
Kirigiri, Byakuya, Celeste and Makoto would probably figure the things out and get Sayaka punished

This is great! Good job! However, I disagree with you on what you said in the description. Monokuma intervened for a reason, actually. Remember that Sayaka aimed to live the most out of all the students, and if the meter in the original version of this reached the max, she may have been set free, but Monokuma wouldn't let that happen. What he did was letting the meter reach the max to give her hopes, to make her believe that she would live, and then literally destroying all of her hopes in a thousand shards. It's actually kind of a deep execution if you think about it.
Now that you mentioned, it does make sense
And the meter shows the 'perfect performance' and we know how passionate she is about being an idol. So seeing the meter destroyed when it was about to reach max is the same as destroying her hopes and dream, the true despair.

I must say, this is just how the unused execution is described, except that I don't see a meter that was to be mentioned and used to raise Sayaka's score to max and Monokuma destroying it. Did this motion took you a day or 2? It looks like you put a lot of effort into making it. I'm really impressed.
Yes I mentioned in the video description that this isn't 100% accurate, the part you mentioned where there should be a score meter for Sayaka and Monokuma destroying it. The reason is that I couldn't find a 3D model score meter anywhere so I had no choice but to omit that part entirely. Regardless, I still did follow the concept of her unused execution with a bear trap. All of the motions in this video took me at least a day which is quite a huge effort, but I'm still proud that they sync well with the audio.

Sayaka was weak minded at the time she lost it due to monokuma threatening her friends lives, besides she had no Idea the class trial or executions existed, if she did she would never have even attempted to frame makoto. I imagine her trail would be a similar situation to keade’s trail in v3.

Would've been better if Sayaka killed Leon instead.
I mean, it was surprising to see the supposed female protagonist in everyone's mind wound up dead. And to discover that she was the assailant that initially planned everything was interesting.
And that makes for a good mystery too.
But it would've been more interesting to see Sayaka act innocent in the class trial to later snap at suspicions. + her execution. And her behavior and hesitation and regret would've shown to Makoto in the trial. That would've been cool.
The thing is, if she was the culprit, she'd most likely confess right off the bat and the trial would've lasted a minute. If killing one person was already hard enough for her, killing 12 including Makoto would definitely be too much for her.

The rules were explained after. If she was found out, she would've been executed. She would've know that.
She wouldn't have confessed so she could die. Regardless of her feelings. In reality, no one wants to die like that.
This holds truth to every character that committed murder.
She was already thinking about killing a guy and framing Makoto.
If she wasn't hesitant, she would've gone right through with it.
She lost because she hesitated.
She wasn't going to reconsider killing Leon or framing Makoto. She already invited him at that point. She wanted to go through with it and she was prepared.
So if Class trial would've been for her. She wouldn't have confessed.
@@JackalKuyo If she was NOT found out, the guy she's in love with would've died, along with 11 innocent people. It's a simple question of which is more important to her, her own life, or Makoto's. And the incident with the sword shows that it's Makoto. She only got a weapon for him, not for herself. This shows that his safety is more important to her than her own. Adding 11 other lives to the pile is just icing on the cake. So yeah, she would've confessed.

She's not exactly "in love with" Makoto.
That was never directed. It never got to that point. That was clarified.
She just cared for him a lot.
And remember that at that point, she recently met him, because their memories were erased. She knew him from middle school but didn't really met him, until Hope's Peak Academy. This isn't enough to fall in love like how you suggest.
At that point, her life and the life of her idol friends were more important to her.
She had to know they were ok.
She had to know that her Pop Sensation career was ok.
That's why she was even willing to commit murder in the first place. You're telling me that she was going to easily throw that out? When she got so desperate when she saw the video that she wanted out? When she was experiencing despair? That's why she went through her plan of switching rooms and nameplates to frame Makoto. The one she most trusted there. That's why she even went to the kitchen to get the knife. That's why she invited Leon to the room. Because she was willing to kill to get out. And she knew that framing Makoto specifically would've given her an advantage.
Makoto brought the Sword because of Sayaka's suggestion.
For Self-Defense. At that point Makoto was already knocked down by Mondo so easily. He needed protection. And Sayaka at that point suggested it because of that. Because she cares for him. She didn't do it because she cares more for him than herself. You are forcing that assumption.
Her priority were her idol friends and her career. Knowing that they were safe. That was the whole point of her actions and all the thinking she did that led her to that decision. So no. She wouldn't have confessed if she was capable of commiting it in the first place. Even if it meant with the death of everybody else. That's illogical.
@@JackalKuyo My point is, she didn't get a weapon for herself at the time, ONLY for him. And yes, she IS in love with him, her second FTE confirms that. Just because they don't have her memories it doesn't mean their feelings are gone. Aoi and Sakura bonded rather quickly and got so close that Aoi was willing to die to get revenge for her, even though they technically knew each other for less than two weeks. Also, Kyoko retained all of her detective skills despite not remembering she's a detective and Chihiro asked Makoto if they met before suggesting he recognized him on a subconscious level. And Sayaka's feelings for Makoto predate Hope's Peak.
As for her career, it stops being relevant when lives are at stake. She's not gonna continue singing if she's dead, it's just her life or Makoto and everyone else's lives. Her friends may be a factor, but the videos weren't certain, she didn't know what exactly happened to them or if they're in any immediate danger. Again, she canonically failed to kill Leon because she was conflicted, meaning that deep down she didn't want to do it, and that's just one life. Add the fact that she'd certainly feel horribly guilty after killing someone and you're gonna have a hard time trying to convince me she's cold-blooded enough to kill everyone just to save herself.

Perhaps Naegi will be persuaded by Kyoko in a logical manner, and perhaps the killings from hereon out will be a tad tamer because Naegi is especially sensitive to those.
But i feel like him, being the ultimate ‘hope’ will probably rise from this even stronger, and be more of an adversary for the ultimate despair, and maybe they’ll find a way to discover the mysteries especially with only Leon and Sayaka out of commission, and everyone else operating using Hope as fuel.

Honestly as a fan of the series I wished this actually played out due to how awesome it would've been to see the manipulative psychotic bitch get what she deserves for not only murdering Leon but for also trying frame Makoto the guy in love with her.

Well, giving that false impression of being able to survive seems to fit with what monokuma does for many executions, (like danganronpa V3 second trial), making them "hope" only to show them only despair awaits in the end

This is my favorite canon unused execution I actually kind of wish sayaka’s plan worked just to see this execution it seems so interesting and of course the fanmade ones are really good but I really would love if they made it official I would also just love to see how she would try to make it seem like she wasn’t the murderer and I would liked seeing how she tried defending herself
Sayaka did kill Leon outside of her dorm so they obviously would have known she was the killer
