    It’s disappointing looking at the church but there are faithful people out here.

    I’ve experienced Christian cowardice, after being abused and absolutely no-one stood by me. This was 30 years ago, the environment in fellowships is often very “ culty “ and people become brainwashed to never step out of line. Bad things happen when good people do nothing.

      💯 - I hope you've since found support

      This is a disturbingly common pattern. Often we feel partly to blame, until we find this out. I'm sorry you had that experience, but it's not your fault. Too many churches etc don't deal with these situations, or even cover it all up, which makes them culpable too. I hope you find people who are genuinely supportive, and take you seriously. I hope you find good friends elsewhere as well.

    ..thanks Sam. I think you need to do this despite my comments on your other video... maybe Andy Croft might be up for the documentary as he has been cleared but has stood down from leadership and feels God wants him to leave the church... but he obviously has his own stuff to process -
    Give people time, it is all so raw at the moment....

      His work is not important unless he is telling people to get out of religion and ho straight to God

    Like the Post Office scandal and other iniquities, too many people looked the other way and avoided the problems.

    Do we still have the all the details though about the abuse?

    • @JuliexSteadman
      @JuliexSteadman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ...not really. a report is going to come out in March. In the church meeting after the investigation had finished we werent really given detail.
      Ive only been attending the church since 2019. Ive known of it since the 1990's though.

    My dear Sam.From what I can see you are a good-looking, intelligent and successful young man who loves Jesus.Might not, for your own sake more than anybody's, a bit of Christian forgiveness be in order?(Especially as Mike has shown remorse by resigning and seeking forgiveness?)Nice dog, by the way!

    • @SamHowson

      Thanks for the compliments... but 'a bit of Christian forgiveness' - gives a fair amount of insight into the very culture I'm trying to challenge. I'm just volcalising my experience which, because it was so similar to a number of other people's, shows there was a serious problem. Have a good one
