I’ve lived in Chicago for about 5 years now, I grew up in the suburbs. It was so fun watching you explore the city. I haven't even tried all of these places. I'll have to check them out!
HEY GUYS! This is one of the best videos of Chicago I ever seen. You both really captured the life of the city and made me feel proud to live here. I was born on the wrong side of the tracks but I did fine a way out of the horror of great poverty. Chicago hasn't been that much of a good friend to me but I love her deeply. Thank you for creating and sharing your time here in my kind of town.
Chicago native here: Wear layers that you can easily slip on and off. Chicago is not only windy, but it can go from 70° to 40° within a couple of hours! Icy winds can feel like razors if you’re not dressed for warmth. In late fall and winter - a beanie, scarf, gloves, and warm ankle boots are must-haves.
Love the vlog…I’m Chicagoan by nature lol. I wanted to let you know a fun fact about Chi. I’m a PhD in US 19th century history. Chicago’s moniker “The Windy City” actually came from New York City reporters that called Chicago politicians “windy” for their boasting and long-windedness. It’s just ironic that Chicago is actually windy! This is all circa the 1873-93 worlds fair. Chicago was in big competition with St. Louis, Cincinnati and New York! Thanks for the cool vlog!
This vlog was like a Video postcard/Love letter to my City and I loved it immensely. I'm about to search for your summer version because I know it'll be bad-ass.😊 #liked #Subscribed
I love trying different popcorn flavors so much!! There was a whole story here we used to go to that had so many choices, but I don't know if they went out of business with the lock-down or not. I should check. . I haven't been there since before then (whoops). One of my best friends lives in Chicago and has for about 20 years now (she grew up in the town I live in). She lives at a Christian commune there. I need to visit one day. . . Wow. . why did they dye the river green? Is that bad for it? I want ramen now..ugh!!! Looks so delicious. I loved going on an adventure with you two. I think I would have written, "Love your neighbor as yourself." or "Love your enemies." -(formerly) JusticePirate

Live just 2 hours from Chicago in Indiana. But we take the train instead of driving. So convenient!

Next time try the food at Connie's pizza just outside of chinatown. During Christmas time they'll have a Christmas theme CTA train you can ride.

They dye the river for st. Patrick’s Day, and they say it is eco-friendly dye but…who knows 🤣 it’s a very bright green! 🤔😂
Westin looks like the Westin. Mag Mile !
I really like the bubble tea places on the mile!
It being called "The Windy City" has NOTHING to do with weather.
I’ve read the real reason 😂 however, it is a twofold name 😂
