girll!! unit 4 for the win!! also, can we get an updates video... like are you still working with that brand? how is training going? how was the summer, etc etc. Fun video as always! ❤
I love how short and concise this was! I get too bored with other hunting apartment vlogs that just talk forever and have awful camera angles lol you’re the best I’ve seen!
It’s actually insane how i was on tiktok watching your apartment hunting but now im driving so i wanted to listen to a video about it and yours was the first to pop up ?! 😭😭
you def chose unit #4 bc of the brick wall in the living room that you showed in your private chef video last week when u were doing ur betterhelp ad! :)
The north side is great for 20-30-year-olds, I agree, but all the buildings are older. The units are not updated, and the prices are easily $2000+ for studios. I feel like these units should have been $500-$600 cheaper, as I call this a "location" tax
You should look for an apartment with a parking spot if you’re looking at lakeview east/wrigleyville. Not having parking is going to be hell especially during baseball season.
i would be careful showing your location and windows as someone who’s lived in chicago my whole life seeing out a few windows can give your whole location away and i’ve seen a lot of influencers who had to relocate cuz of stalkers 😕 just stay safe girly i wish u the best 🫶🏼🫶🏼
lol...I owned a 2-flat off of Southport and Cornelia , sold it late 2000s, and then lived at Park Place Tower for a number of years. Park Place was great because I would run 3-5 miles on the lakefront almost everyday. Good times.
UGH YES! I eat these videos UP. Do you think it's necessary to have a car in Chicago? Some people say you don't need it, but some people say you do. But with public transportation and parking, I feel like it might not be necessary? I've been trying to figure out how to move to Chicago, but as a normal person I fear I'll never be able to afford it. Apartments that don't have equal sized apartments IRRITATE me SO much.
Depending on where you live and what you like to do, you definitely don't HAVE to have a car. We're moving early next year and are selling our cars! Not sure what your budget is, but there's a LARGE variety of prices and apartments, houses, condos, etc.
In Lakeview you are definitely paying for the views...I toured a couple of apartments and they had great views, but were not updated and the price they wanted for a studio I was like "Crack? is it Crack?" But they get away with those prices because of the location and "lake views".
Hey, I’m moving to Chicago after I graduate this May for a job. How far in advance can I sign/start looking for places? I was looking now, for my start day in June, but people are telling me it’s better to start looking in March/april. What would you say?
that’s funny when I watched you the other day when you were moving I’ve been to that place that’s below where you were living and yeah, I mean you’re pretty. You were pretty far west so unfortunately trying to get anywhere from there is a battle because even if you stayed on that street and moved in further, I still think it’s a battle, but not being by an L stop and being so far west that’s just not a great spot. I know that area I mean the apartments I lived in an apartment like two blocks from there, but it is pretty far west it’s not a desirable location. As always, great content.😊
@@CoraShircel OK so I did watch the whole thing. The video I just kind of started it you crack me up man. I know you’ve only looked at apartments in Chicago couple times honestly if you want to stay with a budget just look at those because those other ones trust me you it is super rare that you will find something in a building like those that would be within your budget. There’s just no way that one building I’ve actually been in the park place or whatever it is. It’s a nice building it’s a little dated, but you would find a lot of buildings on the lake are dated because those buildings were built a long time ago and people in the Midwest, basically just stay in there forever so anyways good luck with everything sent OK. oh yeah in the parking thing you’re absolutely right where you lived parking super easy. The closer to the lake you get parking is just ridiculous. Not having a car is what I did because it made me nuts. What I paid on. Uber was way cheaper than having a car.
I live at the building in front the park place building you saw at lakeview East and in mine there’s apartments for $2500 and it’s also very nice. You could actually look at my building from the window you recorded. We’re closer to the lake. Probably without a broker is cheaper? 🤷🏻♀️
I was not a fan of apartment 1 or 2 because not only were they out of budget but they didnt offer the important things you were looking for. I would have to say my favorite is apartment 4. also girl breathe lol. I dont know how you can talk so fast and breathe. lol.
Nice seeing the apartment choices! I struggled hearing and differentiating each word though; far too much editing, it’s like you never take a breath! 😮 😩 I’m NOT saying that to be mean, just that my older ears struggled.
Cora, the video is great as usual, but why would u waste time looking at overpriced flats??? I mean the first three were obvi out of your price range, you could've seen more of the ones like the 4th of the 5th ones You should never pay that much on sb else's property. You'd better go with a cheaper and modest one now to get your own place without a huge mortgage later
Who is the broker ? He’s not listed I’m looking into the Lakeview apartments area code 60657 Which I cannot afford any of those I seen a few of them for like 13 1400 😩 but I’ll just have to work really hard maybe two jobs because I absolutely don’t wanna live in the hood and I’m used to things being a little bit expensive. I’m coming from Colorado. I stayed in New York for a few years with roommates. I currently stay with myself in Colorado in my apartment, but I’ve been here for a long time already and it’s time for a change ! I cannot live with roommates They’re creepy. They’re loud they’re dirty. They’re disrespectful. I don’t wanna live with a roommate with pets lol or a spouse .. 😂
Posting videos of other peoples’ stuff in the apartments you toured is unethical and weird. Did you get consent from them to post their private homes on the internet?
Considering rent prices in Chicago, and the way that city is being run by the political hustlers you`re better off buying a house in northern Indiana. Indiana is a better run state and your rent money can go to a house you own and you don`t have to deal with landlords
I love the 4th apartment, especially with all the windows
Thank you 🥹🥹🥹
“My budget is $2500”
*First three units from the broker are $3500 - $3800*
Me: …👁️👄👁️ no.
Right???? I feel like that is so irresponsible to do to your clients

I wanna do a life update video!! Can talk about all this 😊😊
4th apt is amazing, I loveeed the living room, so beautiful! I can't wait to see which one you choose 🤍

unit 4 was so good, love the videos so much
I think you picked number 4. It was a good-looking apartment. I hope it works out well for you and katie. God bless you all ❤️
how exciting!!! so much change!

Honestly i do as well 🤭

Finally, just found a person who is afraid of birds same as me 😅
Guilty of rewatching a few times. At least one place looked just like where I lived 30 years ago. 😊
Someone who can talk as fast as my family and me. Please be careful in the big city every block is an adventure of its own.

4! I’m from Chicago now live in Dallas and thinking to move back! Prices are def higher in Chicago but I miss the city

4th 😍 it checked all of your boxes!
I know exactly where you were just by where you were driving through. Hahaha Chicago is beautiful… but glad I left the state.
I don't understand why apartments have washer n dryer in one of the bedrooms??!!
At 15:05 The left grey building is where my brother use to live
Why is all the apartment footage so quickly recorded? Having a headache rn
Could almost actually see my sisters place when you were looking at Wrigley from apt. 3 you looked.... Good Luck!!! I think #4....
Finally not New York or Bay Area
Check out beachside apartments by Loyola university, from California but can’t wait one day
You have the cutest arm freckles, dont judge me lol
I’m thinking you chose #4, Lincoln Park. 😊
Apartment 2 and 4 looks good...
What's the brand of your smartwatch??
Garmin! It’s the Venu 3S and I highly recommend!
@@CoraShircel is it better compared to Apple Watch?? Btw thank you for replying💗
