So after the fire test, I tried pouring Acetone on it and still no melting. But we can clearly see two layers squished together to create the top green portion of the bag. I'm no leather pro, but I guess it's some kind of bonded or split leather or something? If there are any pros out there, do tell! :D

hermes - has a factory in China for repairs, but i guess they also is tempted to make the bags there too - who is going to check that out.

Genuine leather means the lowest quality type leather (the lowest level of split skins) and it does not last very long before wearing out.

@@becky15707 Unfortunately this seller no longer sells this exact bag. You won't find this bag specifically anymore, but there are definitely ones like it in other colors but higher in price. Searching "top handle bag" or the name of the bags they're duped after will show many of these options.

Hermes bags quality is not comparable to any of those bags. Sorry. Hermes bags are investment pieces. Bags will last you a lifetime and you can pass to generations.
But TBH it matters how you carry the bag, cheap or expensive. At the end of the day you’ll put the same stuff inside, and whichever you can afford. SIMPLE AS THAT.

Agreed! I know for a fact real Hermes bags are waaaay above any of these or Lily & Bean's bags, as I do purchase actual luxury designer bags as well. In another one of my videos I mentioned how at first glance you can tell just by feeling the hardware, which is something that is important to me on a bag. I hope to grow my collection and knowledge of all these bags as I go on! :)

✨Leather bags that low in cost are usually not made ethically (i.g. workers under paid in extremely poor conditions) hence the cheap price 😢

Leather itself is not rare as it is a biproduct of the meat industry. The best of leathers are sourced from better places for sure, but it’s the design, workmanship and brand recognition that determines a bag’s price. That’s another reason I’m not into bag replicas because they’re sold at a higher price than regular unbranded dupes and I’m sure most of that doesn’t go to the people making the bags…
