Great to see you guys working together, and i hope others cach on and we get to see more of this. This is what racing is all about. Networking, sharing knowledge and having a good time with friends. Its not just buying the best stuff and winning races. Sadly, that part of our sport is slowly diying off, and i feel really bad for those who don’t get to experience the late nights working on your proyect, or your buddies project so ya’ll can race each other just for bragging rights or a beer. The parts shortage may be a bad thing in part, but i’m seen more people working together and solving problems instead of just “buying the thing”. So that’s good i guess!
Nice welder..I have the same machine can stick,Tig,mig steel and aluminum I have the hf 251 Tig box,and a xr aluminum push pull feeder, Awesome machine
Good job overall Matt, at least the likelihood of this problem re occurring is eliminated. I know you would've preferred a 4 link under there, but at least it will be safer to run this thing full tilt.
That's NOT a Drill Press. Its a Horizontal Mill. Calling that a Drill Press is like calling a M-4 a Squirrel Rifle. Yes. They both can do similar things. But one of them is FARE more accurate and has a million different options to cut and remove material within 100's of thousandths of a inch. Yes there a very handy tool to have in the garage and with a little schooling you can make AMAZING parts that you can no longer buy off the shelf. As you are experiencing with your ladder bars.
Matt with your luck, I would highly suggest that every time you drill a hole, grind some thing, you wear “A DAM PAIR OF SAFETY GLASSES” or take up knitting and step away from cars ! Come on !
It was good talking to you!!
Nick is such an awesome guy. He has a wealth of knowledge and I enjoy watching his videos!
Nick is one guy that can say .. built not bought 👍

Talk to your local machine shops that build rock curries
Good deal that will really help you out ..Nick is fabricating dude man!☆☆♤♤
That wasn't a drill press you were using as a drill press. It was a vertical milling machine.
Where at in North Carolina?
Bolt on diagonal should be sufficient
I still think you could have mig welded the inside of the tube then drilled and tapped it but done is done.
Possibly, but I had to go to NC anyway and I wanted to have a fix that I wouldn’t have to revisit a few months down the road
I thought Nick lived in western NY ?
Nice ONE HAND WASHING THE OTHER. LITTLE WORK 💪LITTLE FOOD & A LOTS OF MEMORIES GO'S A LONG WAY GOOD S#!+
Love vids
😎
Why did you build the ladder bars like that?

Hundreds of thousands of an inch is a convoluted way to say tenths of an inch. That's not exactly precision machining.
Could have cooked yall a butt if I knowed you were coming to NC they are only 15 miles from me dude.
Damn! I definitely missed out on that opportunity
Not a drill press that’s a bridge style milling machine
Matt with your luck, I would highly suggest that every time you drill a hole, grind some thing, you wear “A DAM PAIR OF SAFETY GLASSES” or take up knitting and step away from cars ! Come on !
I'm ready to see it against Billy, hell he is fast..
Ours here always does away with old out dated machines
