B-Hop one of the MOST UNDERRATED… The man didn’t bleed in a boxing ring in 20 years!!! 🤯 that’s not even natural. I just wish we’d got to see him and Toney in their prime, why it never happened is a shame 😣

Fam, it’s an absolute tragedy that the guys who missed out on prime Roy will never truly understand who he is! We hear these titles and phrase used way too often, but Roy really is a One of One. We’ve never seen anything like him before and won’t see another one again. As much as I always loved Mayweather, prime Roy is a different type of sandwich, man. For real. ESPECIALLY if we’re talking Money Mayweather. Pretty Boy Floyd would absolutely destroy Money Mayweather. He’d have Money May packed up and outta there at 1:57 in Round 9️⃣. Prime Roy is untouchable, though. There Old Roy (as in age) and then there’s THE OLD ROY (as in peak level).
Even if you look at Old Roy’s losses later on, EVERY SINGLE TIME there was a flash of THE OLD ROY, you’d see in that moment how the match would’ve gone at Roy’s peak. And I don’t care WHO was across from him.
Joe Calzaghe was a nightmare and one of the most disrespected, underrated fighters in recent history. But it’s not even close. I say that respectfully because I absolutely LOVE Joe! But a ♠️ has to be called a ♠️.

There’s no universe where boxing enthusiasts count ANY of Jones’s losses against his legacy. Tarver was the first to actually defeat him, but NOBODY even ranks him as a top 5 fighter of his generation. I’m not one of the kinds of fans who say none of Roy’s Losses count against record. There are people whose assessments come from loyalty to their favorite fighters, and I hate that. MY loyalty is to the sport/art form itself FIRST. HUGE difference!
Loyalty to the sport first and talking Legacy, everyone knows who Roy is and what he does to his opponents in every single Loss when the fight happens when he’s still at his best. And it’s not even a close call. The Losses were 100% legitimate in terms of record. But when we’re talking Legacy, that’s a different type of sandwich. In almost all of the Losses, we saw flickering sparks of prime Roy. And every single time, it looked like every other fight he had before going up to Heavyweight. He just didn’t have it left in his body to maintain it for more than 15 seconds at a time for more than four or five moments in a fight.
But anyways… There’s a reason why you have 100+ comments on boxing videos literally BEGGING the boxing community to validate YOUR personal feelings about Calzaghe. Reminds me of the Eminem, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift fan bases. It’s like you NEED the world to agree with how you feel and won’t rest until you get it. 😂😂
