I saw that Achilles tear moment live... I was flabbergasted, it was the most inspirational thing I have ever witnessed. People DO NOT WALK after tearing the Achilles. There is no tension on the back part of your leg. It would feel like the back part of your leg is on the ground... for him to put mind over matter... that was something to behold. I mean, a dislocated finger happens. Many people have popped it back in and played on... but a tore Achilles usually calls for a stretcher/ cart to move them... it was like watching Jesus walk on water... almost.
I guess it depends on the person. I walked on it after it happened to me in a football match. It felt really weird , felt like my left foot was pudding all of a sudden. Anyways, it's a really nasty injury , because it takes alot of time to heal.
And it is not the physical part that he walks. It's the emotional and mental part what really impressed me. because for sure he thinking that he is done while shooting those 2 free throws. and still made both of it. You can see the tears he holding back while making the shot.
The real Mamba mentality is his relentlessness and not refusing to lose. I've watch a lot of Laker games that i almost want to throw our tv because they are losing. Razeeq623 That’s literally the way I would have thought it happened on the court with those 2. Kobe being too competitive and LeBron as a good leader calming him down. Too bad we we never saw them play together in the NBA, or against each other in the finals. Would have been dope to see
They was gon toss Kobe ass all that shit he was talking 😂.
You had me until the last line. What a damn joke. This guy was an entertainer. Do we somehow forget that?
You're a weirdo taylor. Lmao. Get a life.
@@harorider96 kobe is the father he wishes he had so he has to be dramatix about it.
But with Kobe's tenacity, he will take over games that we already think that is a losing game and still overturn it to a W. That's the real Mamba mentality.

This man is inspiring me to go beyond myself. To try and become stronger, both mentally and physically. To have the champion's mindset. The Mamba mindset. RIP you legend, inspiring people beyond the grave.
I love how he and Timmy are looking at each other. That's a bond man, these two are basically friends after playing against each other for almost 2 decades, in the same conference. These two and KG was the perfect selection for a class in HOF.
That's probably why an exception was made to induct Kobe with Tim and Kevin in the 2020 class. Otherwise, he would not have eligible til the 2021 version.
idk when Tim duncan was asked about Kobe when he was about to retire he seemed salty asf. He basically said idc about him.
Wow Kobe.. The commitment, the dedication, the inspiration.. Thank you Kobe!
The helicopter.

There will never be another one like him. He was one of a kind. A man amongst boys.
He was also a rapist

Kobe’s the reason I started playing basketball and having that mentality. I’ve been playing and watching basketball since I was 6.
Thank you 🙏 Kobe for everything you’ve done for me not only in basketball, but in life. You made me become the person I am today.

I'm going to carry that mentality in college too. Mamba mentality. Anyone that challenges it can get fucked.
This dude walked off an achilles tear…he’s definitely the mentality 🐐🐐🐐🐐 no question!
And shot fuckin free throws, and made them. You can't tell me he was human
Whenever I need the inspiration to give life my all I come back to this video. It's crazy how he continues to be a source of inspiration even after his passing.
Thank you for the memories. Thank you for teaching us to never give up. Thank you for the impact you've made on all our lives. Wherever you are Kobe, thank you for everything. RIP Kobe, Mamba out.
Someday my grand kids are gonna ask me “why do we say Kobe when we shoot” then I’m gonna say “Lemme tell you the story of the mamba”
R.I.P KOBE, GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. It’s crazy it’s been over a year, I remember the first day I saw him play. I was at this restaurant and the Lakers Vs OKC round 1 matchup and I saw Kobe go insane, and from that day on I started playing Basketball. Only melo
Kobe likes him he’s just doing tough love that’s all
So what, he still was ballin
Kobe was mentoring him when he was in the team. Just gave him the mamba mentality
The mindset of Kobe is literally something nobody can teach. Ever.
Only jordan came there
I think only him and MJ had that mentality. The will to win at all costs, to be obsessed with winning, can't teach it, it's something you build up yourself
BS. People that think those work ethics can't be taught end up being parents who let their kids do whatever or have whatever they want.
@@leoh6742 parents? That has nothing to do with it. Kobe's parents practically disowned him even after winning a championship. The work ethics and the mindset of Kobe can be taught. But within yourself, nobody else can teach other about that. Obviously this went way over your head.

"Look at Kobe man! So Inspirational"
Man, I watched this video for the nth time yet I’m crying like it was the first time I watched this.
I needed to see this. Kobe is such a blessing to the world. The whole world stopped when you died. The whole world mourned. Some of us still mourn up until this day. I am one of them.
Kobe’s mental toughness is something else
Kobe's desire and determination were 2nd only to MJ. When MJ hung up his shoes Kobe now became The Man. Nobody practiced harder, nobody strive to be the best like Kobe Bryant. How he stood up to challenges, never flinching as we seen in the video, were a testament to who and what he had become. Never underestimate the heart of a champion. Kobe was just that. You are so so missed Mamba. We treasure the memories from the young #8, and the experience of the mature #24. The Man, the Myth, the Mamba... nuff said.
Jordan didn't have the drive Kobe did, not even close. Jordan retired twice, and didn't play through near the injuries that Kobe did. Jordan was an insanely gifted athlete. Kobe had to work extra hard to be great.

This is one of the reasons I respect Kobe so much. He was destroying his teammates in 1v1 up to 100 (like keeping his opponents to single digits) but he still had the drive to outwork everyone.
That’s the last of his breed right there. This man stayed in the game and sank two free throws with a completely torn Achilles. Wherever you are Kobe, we miss you and you’ll always be an inspiration. Mamba forever.
