I agree. The UK has some of the best apples in the world. I highly recommend anyone visiting in the future, go during the first two weeks of October, when there are many apple festivals ongoing. We had such a wonderful time, sampling all the delicious varieties of apples and those delicious desserts. If you can, ask for an old-fashioned English Apple. It is divine.
When I grew up in London we used to buy Bramley apples on the way to school and eat them for snack time. They were sourer than the Granny Smith apples. Having moved to the USA I planted a Bramley tree in my tiny back garden. i can no longer eat these apples, they are so very sour I can't imagine how we did so when younger! They do make a fantastic cooking apple, though, but do need additional sweeteners to make them edible. My all-time favourite eating apple must be the Cox Orange Pippin. Truly one of the best apples you can get.
I love his videos a great deal and learn so much . I enjoy hearing the royal chefs tell anecdotes! TY for sharing the recipes from the Royals of the past and present
"We make the BEST cooking apple in the world... its called the Bramley".....Rambles on for 10 mins about the Bramley...."What sort of apple are you putting in this dish?" 'A New Zealand Braeburn' .... I freaking DIED 😂😂😂
Why is this video labeled "The Childhood Home of the Queen Mother" when it's a video about food? Glamis Castle was her childhood home. This video has nothing to do with Glamis at all.
@@AuntBecky1 To me, they just sour without any flavor nuances, takes too much sugar to make them edible. Unfortunately they're marketed so much its difficult to find any other good cooking apple
Ok why is the butter so yellow and the egg yolks orange? In America our butter is pale yellow and are yolks are...yellow, not orange! I actually don't like the way the butter looks as it looks more like margarine, than butter.
That's the way butter and eggs are supposed to look. The butter has more milk fat than in the states, and the eggs come from chickens that are properly fed and not shot full of antibiotics.
Yep and to eat this way in the states cost triple the amount you normally spend. Beware of terms such as "organic" and "free range" just more tricky jargon.
WE JUST LOVE MICHAEL BUERK. HE IS A WONDERFUL HOST. THANK YOU REAL ROYALTY. HE IS A TREASURE.
Michael and Michelin Star Chef Paul make a delightful pair of historical and meticulous culinary entertainment!! Totally Love it!!
I can say quite confidently say that Royal Recipes will handle The Interview better than all the rest of British media put together.

These noble s are one of a kind they are hard working people.
Those dishes were particularly mouthwatering. What else can be said? "May I have some, please?"

So kind that Michael smartly utilized "literally" to perhaps correct the younger generation's incorrect overuse of the word.
Bless him and you!
I live in the States and enjoy watching these videos. Everything look so good.

Beg To differ on not using Champagne for your mother- in- law Sunday brunch....I think that differs greatly by who your mother -in- law is! :)
Maldon salt is the best!
Is a Brambley apple really better than a Northern Spy apple? Has anyone here ever tried both?
to me, a bramley is more tart than a northern spy.
They're both great for baking, different flavors, both much better than Granny Smith apples.
@@jgrady9553 I’ve only had Granny Smith and Spy. I don’t really like Granny Smith.
@@phineas117 oh wow. Spy apples are so sour I can’t imagine Bramley. Lol.

Buy Pasture Raised Eggs and Pasture Raised Butter or Grass Fed Butter
@@ashleymoore4544 Thanks Ashley!
The cows are grass fed, not full of GMO grain and hormones.

Richard II was the second worst king after Edward II. He was overthrown leading to the War of the Roses. They starved him to death in a cell.

The recipes are great. However, listening to Mr.l Buerk chewing and speaking at the same time is unbearable.
What effect does this removing of salt do to the natural ecology of the estuary - I wonder?
I am not fond of venison or lamb at all. I prefer pork best. I would try it but it would not be my first choice at all.

We’re all waiting for your response to the Meghan interview
@OneHairyGuy How do you know?
@OneHairyGuy Neither Meghan nor Harry will tell because Charles is the moneybags, and will be until William becomes the moneybags.
