I wonder if this makes me a dork! But I find it so satisfying using up supplies to the very end getting full value of money earned so when I throw away an empty container that I've used every single piece of it gives me a feeling of real satisfaction. If that escalates me into dork Ville then I guess I am there LOL😂
I'm impressed by how empty the fridge door is!🙌🏻 My fridge seems to always be full of condiments, pickles, etc!😂 Love these videos... I try to use up everything, but I need to go extreme like this!🥰
Haha thanks! The fridge used to be such a pet peeve of mine…! I like keeping the pickled items in a bin on a main shelf now. But we love condiments so it’s easy to have A LOT!
Awesome..you're on a roll!!! I'm doing the challenge this month also..I still have many things I would like to use up...just have been focusing on getting fresh items mainly and using freezer/pantry items...and yes I also have things in there that have been thrre longer than I would like (because is also not our favorite) so have to work on those because I do not like to waste food.
Thanks for another great video. I am going to do this in July just like in June. Uber Eats sent me a deal and from that order I made about four meals 2 lunches and 2 dinner from leftovers. Also my sister gives me leftovers weekly. They are a family of four and her husband will not leftovers and discounted food so I get it. I have her freeze it and then we see each other twice a week. We tag and date all the food good till using three to five days. Trying to find a better system to date and label. I have a list on my notes as well. We keep one on the fridge as well. I get discount meat from Safeway to it has not been good lately. Being just one person makes it hard to cook. So I batch cook for one every two months as long as I have eaten my leftovers those months. Thanks again for lots of ideas.
I am learning so much with zero waste use it up type youtubes. thank you for making them. This month, my grocery bill has been $150 for 2 people including nonfood items. Before I started this, my food bill was $800-$1000 a month. I am now trying my hand at apple peel jelly to go on my homemade bread. I make homemade apple pies regularly
Hey there just found your channel love that your making kid friendly recipes I’m a mom of 3 myself & I have some picky eaters. Your kids are adorable tfs☺️
Welcome to the Savvy Family! Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed it! My youngest is really picky, so I’m always trying to introduce foods alongside things she already loves.
I have never done a pantry challenge but I had really stocked up heavy during pandemic so now I am trying to use up some of the things that are getting close to there best buy date. I really feel good having a stockpile just because you never know when there is going to be a income loss or a pandemic. I don't think I will ever allow our stock to be low but I do want to make sure things are not going to be low. I will be lowering our food budget but with meal planning and not wasting I think it will be fine.
I agree with this. That’s a good outlook. We have storms, floods, etc here and we don’t want to be stuck at home without food and necessities. But we also want to use up what we have. In- out- stock up and use up.
Have you ever had frozen grapes? They are a yummy refreshing snack in the summer! I think I will try a no grocery spend July. I got a journal to start today!
double check about those kirkland pasture raised eggs. i don't think they have the certified humane seal. that means they're not really pasture raised, wouldn't waste my money on them!
I am planning on doing this this month and possibly next month. I also have a bunch of items in my freezers and have produce from my garden that I can use. I think I'm going to just buy some fruit and if I need staple items. I think I can do it for 2 months.
Haha I have an unofficial catering and dessert business! And our vacation was wonderful- that was almost a year ago so it’s almost time for that trip again!
That’s nice where y’all going for vacay this time if you don’t mind me asking that is? Glad you had a good time last time. Thank for the tips . I also like Dunkin as well. What store did you get that stuff on sale? I live in fla so if you live up north probably different stores.
@@krissiausomemom we are going to Michigan 🥰 I don’t know if you have any Kroger affiliates near you yet but I read that they are trying to get into the state!
Just a concern about the roasted potatoes at the beginning of your video. There were some potatoes with sprouts. Those contain solanine, which can make one sick. Please stay safe. Your videos are great to watch. 😊

Well then I’m a dork, too! Haha no, I feel very passionately about this. It’s very wise and resourceful.
You are definitely not a dork. Everyone should do this. We also try not to waste a thing. Lots of love. ⚘
Not a dork but a frugal smart individual!!!!
Your little boy is adorable, just so lovely at that age. Moms little friend
He is so much fun. Thank you!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. You inspire me to be more mindful of the food I already have without wasting money. Thank You!!

New subscriber. Love this video. You're doing your children a favor by teaching them to cook, and be frugal. Thank you.

I totally forgot about making pizza bagels or pizza on English muffins. Thank you for the reminder!
Yes! Such a simple meal but always goes over well.
Pizza Bagels= one happy kid!
For sure!
You must make the same taco salad that I do using the Catalina dressing, it is by far my favorite the absolute best taco salad ever
Yes!!! Do you use Doritos?

I’m not a big fan of the Kroger brand tortellini either. There’s just something about it. The Great Value brand is much better!
