  • Fitting a Trailmaster Lift Kit to a Gen4 (JB74) Jimny (Part 3)
    A long video showing the fitting of the Trailmaster 50mm Lift Kit to a Gen4 (2018+) Jimny.
    Purchase the kit from here: www.bigjimny.c...
    Videoed as the installation progresses, this video includes any issues encountered. It is also suitable as a reference for the fitting of "other" supplier kits (but who would want to do that!) and also is relevant for fitting the kits to a Gen3 Jimny

    Thank you for the video. Very useful. What was the height of the front and rear after fitting? As before it was 79sm front and 83 rear. Thanks

    Hi Martin, I realise this is an old video now but I'm finding it very useful to replace the shocks & springs in my JB74. Do you know how tight the shock bolts should be? I found a couple of places online that say 90 Nm, but the rear shocks can't hinge from the upper bolts if I do them that tightly.

      Lower shock nut 45Nm upper shock bolt 70Nm

    How much longer are the new brake lines? I would like to fit braided lines when I fit the kit and need to know the length of the new lines in the kit to ensure I get them right. Thanks!

    Great video, well documented! does the modification impact your warranty?

      I understand that in the UK it doesn't affect the overall warranty, only the suspension parts affected

    Great video Martin. How was the initial drive with new kit in comparison to old?

      To me it feels the same, ie it drives normally. Certainly it does not appear to need caster correction. My son, who owns the car and drives it frequently, says it is slightly softer and smoother over speed bumps etc.

    Could you please tell me if the dimension tyres 235/75 R15 fits at standard Jimny Sierra? I'm buying a Sierra and I'm think to change the tyres for some nice BF All Terrain. Could be possible or I will have to make some modification at the car?
    Thanks in advance.

    Do i need to change may panhard if i installed a 40mm lift kit?

    • @bigjimny
      @bigjimny  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really needed for 40mm

      @@bigjimny how about a 50mm lift?

    • @bigjimny
      @bigjimny  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yoboibrodie8735 not all lift kits are the same. Although they say 50mm, some are smaller in real life and some are bigger. I have fitted 50mm kits without having to adjust anything
      However it is impossible to give a definitive answer
