Sun Style Tai Chi is the newest family form of Tai Chi. It is approximately 300 years old and is characterized by the gentle follow step, which is a half step taken when approaching or receding. It provides the opportunity for making quick changes as needed in the use of this style for Martial Art application. It also provides plenty of opportunity to develop your balance without having to stand on one foot. Sun Style has a higher Tai Chi stance, so is excellent for seniors who want to learn Tai chi without undue strain to their knees or hips.
Sun Style Tai Chi was largely introduced to the United States by Dr. Paul Lam and his Tai Chi for Health company. He popularized the Sun Style 73 form set, and also modified Sun Style form set to Tai Chi for Arthritis, a shortened Sun Style Tai Chi form set based on the 73 Sun Style Tai Chi form set. In truth, ALL Tai Chi is excellent for those with arthritis...so all Tai Chi is Tai Chi for Arthritis! However Sun Style Tai Chi is unique and forgiving with its higher Tai Chi stance.

The split screen view was helpful to allow viewing of the front of the body when the back was turned. I wish that had been available for the entire video. Otherwise, thank you for this.
