The extra "thing" on the battery pcb is likely a temperature sensor. It is used to protect the battery from overheating (turn it off when it gets too hot).
Since you tore out the garden sides and said something different will be done next year, I'd like to suggest you think about raised gardens. I created raised gardens from concrete retaining wall stones. Gardens are a half meter tall, makes them very convenient to sit on and work in the garden. Saves a lot of bending over, I'm sure Super Mom would like not having to bend over all the time. Just my 2 cents!
We call that floor sander a floor "Maintainer". It can sand or polish hardwood and concrete. I use it to buff hardwood smooth for finish coats or remove adhesives on concrete. Also, a cheap plastic welder (Amazon) would be a useful tool.
I'm a disorganized person.. So you being able to keep track of all the small videos that make the big videos is like magic too me. Ant Pants the Grand Wizard lol
Andris, the small metal piece, you found and didn't recognise, is a finger of a cickelbar mower. Farmers used cickebar mowers to cut the gras, for making hay.
The short lead is a thermal sensor that the BMS uses to shut down the battery when it gets too hot both when it is charging and when it is being used in a tool. It is usually glued into place with some silicone thermal cement on top of one of the cells. Cheers from Oregon, USA, Philip
Andris is better than 99% of the paid tv networks/channels so I am just going to cancel their subscription and join his Patreon instead. With this much consistent entertaining content he deserves it!

On the battery you took to bits, the board is a BMS (battery management system), the unsoldered join is spot welded and the wire is the thermister which checks the battery temperature while charging
22:50 In germany it's called Streichmaß. Wikipedia says: A marking gauge, also known as a scratch gauge,[1] is used in woodworking and metalworking to mark out lines for cutting or other operations.[2] The purpose of the gauge is to scribe a line parallel to a reference edge or surface. It is used in joinery and sheetmetal operations.
Andris, you’re a good man fixing electrical products, I’m hopeless, I will have a go at anything mechanical, hydraulic but electrics to me is a mystery, my brain just doesn’t function in that realm so kudos to you for even having a crack. Mate I just love these bits and bobs vlogs and it’s always neat to see you interacting with your family. ❤shout out to super mom, she’s a legend and your nieces are just adorable. Those cup are fantastic, i myself have them, they keep ice frozen all day. Your drink stays cold, and it is also great for keeping your coffee hot, the circular saw switch is gone or might just need to be cleaned but it sounds like the switch for sure, they are not cheap. And check the back bearing they usually go on those saws or melt to the housing. That hand tool is a scratch marker, you can make a line along a piece of wood. Put the block against the edge and with the sharp pin or blade scratch a line along the wood where you want
That sleeve retainer is good stuff. I use it all the time. A sleeve is like a bushing but a sleeve you actually don’t want it to be removable. Like if you have a hole that’s worn out you can drill it out and make a sleeve for it to make it the right size again.
Idea for you: Make Service Grease Pit better- Use floor machine clean floor. Water, soap, brush. Cut new boards, paint "ANTS PANTS" on, so easy to replace.
Ants It seems like you are going to be busy building raised beds for Supermom! That bending over looked painful, glad you took over. She really loves gardening, and I know it must be hard for her to realize that she can't do what she used to. But you can still allow her to keep doing things by making it a bit easier for her. These transformations are going to come out really nice once you finish. Santa knew you would be able to fix those things that is why he brought it to you. You are very impressive in your skills and people recognize that!!
That thing in the Battery that was hanging off the PCB is most likely a temperature sensor, it detects if the cells are too hot and turns the Battery off, to keep it from catching fire. So it's kind of important it has contact with the cells.
it was hard to tell .. when Andris has his head torch on, hard to see anything .. I originally thought it looked like a grounding mesh wire - same mesh as solder wick .. but now you say that, it could have had the little 'bulb' at the end like a temperature sensor has
we grew potatoes on a bed of grass clipping covered with fresh mulch. Harvesting no digging required, just pull up the plant and pick off the jewels. After harvest we tilled up the soil in the fall mixing the grass clipping and mulch.
Hi Andris, great Video, as always! Concerning the Thing you found at 1:29:02, I think it could be from some type of sickle mower ( At least thats what I think they are called ), namely one of the Fingers from the Mowing bar.

Your tools at 22:56 are awesome. Love antique woodworking tools. You can mark a cut line using the square box thing with brass in the same way you can mark a cut line with a speed square. It was used long before a speed square was dreamed up. Place the box along the side of board to be cut or planed, loosen opening to move the longer piece using the brass screw on the block, and line up the point to the deepth you want to cut/plane. Hold the box piece against side of board and apply enough pressure for the sharp point to scribe a line as you move it down the board. You have a nice one. Couldn't see the end of the driver... some of them have storage inside the handle to store the bits. You'll have to check it out. Your wood planes are antiques. If they have older irons (blade part), the irons will have been forged when metal workers made very high quality irons. They are stronger & hold an edge better. You just need clean & sharpen them, and they are still usable. I use mine. However, when an iron is dull, they are hard to use. Suggestion, clean the wood parts and wax them. When waxed, they'll move down the wood more smoothly. Wax also makes them look cooler!

Floor scrubber, uses various grade of abrasive pads. Adjust the handle to about hip height... push down, gently and it goes one way, pull up gently and it goes the other way. Be gentle unless you want to go flying or zooming the machine into various breakable items or maybe rip your arms off! :-)
Maybe you can build some chicken tractors and a hen house for the winter and get some egg layers and meat birds in the spring so the rugrats can collect eggs. The bird waste will help improve your soil. Also, if you can rent a wood chipper, you can grind up all that rotten lumber and spread it over the garden area. That will also help the soil.
Don’t give up on your batteries. If you open them up you will find a Series of 3.7 volt batteries. You can change them out. It’s a bit tricky to solder them back in but it works.
