Honestly, I love the depth and detail you dive into with your videos regarding otherwise forgotten and obscure armored vehicles from recent and old history. Nobody except for a few keeners in War Thunder, and hardcore military history academics have ever even heard of this vehicle before.
You're essentially the "Forgotten Weapons" of Mechanized Warfare. Keep up the good work in this niche. :)

Dardo doesn’t have firing ports, the prototype did.
Dardo doesn’t use the Spike, it never did. The Dardo only ever used the TOW atgm. There was a prototype of the Dardo with an entirely new turret, which in theory could fire spikes but besides that nothing.
The dardo is an overall ok vehicle, it’s old and a replacement is being worked on.

We Italians make fast vehicles for a reason: to honor Scipione Borghese, tenth Prince of Sulmona, and his driver Ettore Guizzardi. During the 1907 Peking to Paris race they and their red car were so fast that when they arrived in Moscow took a detour to St. Petersburg, spent a day to take part at a dinner in their honor, went back to Moscow and resumed the race and not only they still arrived first, they got there with an advantage of TWENTY DAYS over the runner-up.
While many have forgotten him, back in the day he was so famous he instilled in everyone a need for speed that endures to this day and inspired our use of red as the color for our auto racing teams.

At first I was snickering at that plumage on the soldiers helmets. Then I remembered that was part of tradition with Italian solders. The more I looked at those black feathers, the more it grew on me. It makes me think of the air Calvary units of the U.S. Army that still wear Stetsons with the crossed swords on them, or the British bear skin caps of the Royal Guards units.
I have nothing but respect for keeping those traditions alive.

They are bersaglieri (with the black cock feather in the helment). Originally the bersaglieri were light infantry on bicycles. But nice to see the girl poking her head out - very italian in her charm.
The real problem is: Why change it - if it works. I don't know the specifications and why they were made as they were.
I can, however see the advantage in being lighter: The CV90 is about 30 tons and the Dardo is about 25 tons. Dardo has about the double the range of a CV90. So it is not to be excluded that it can go where other IFV's can't: I mean if a tank can't come after you without getting bogged down, then who cares the armour is a bit thinner?

I remember when this IFV came out I thought it was a bit like the US Bradley IFV. The Dardo has the TOW but you said with the Spike it has one over the Bradley then if its an upgrade. Still better than M113 APC. Now they are some other varients they are going to have. The chassis is intended to be the basic model of a family of vehicles, which may include a 120 mm mortar carrier, command (C3I) vehicle, ambulance and light tank with a 105mm gun turret. Also you didn't mention its combat record it was in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and in Afghanistan to beef up Italian battlegroups and in UNFIL missions.

I think the issue with all these vehicle not keeping up with the infantry fighting vehicle role is the lack of definition as to what an infantry fighting vehicle is and what it's meant to really do. Is it supposed to fight bunking and tanks? Just get the infantry to the fight and give minor support? or drop the infantry and then act as an indipendant fighting unit? I mean a Bradly dose a lot of those jobs but it also fails them at the same time.
