Interior Design Singapore | House Tour of a Japandi Themed 3 Room DBSS in Pasir Ris

In this episode, we visit a 645 square feet 3 Room DBSS located in Pasir Ris. The place has been overhauled from its existing 2 bedroom layout to one that is fully moulded into the homeowners’ lifestyle and daily routines. Check out what goes on behind the scenes and have a peek of the interior design process!
Design Highlights: For this project we were entrusted to create a Japandi themed design along with some must-haves set by the homeowners.
The Japandi theme is fusing the perfect blend of both the Scandinavian and Japanese styles. In this fusion of styles, we blended firstly the Scandinavian concept of coziness in design where the home would provide the feeling of sanctuary and comfort every time the home owner walks in the main door. Then, integrating this concept with the Japanese notion of “wabi-sabi” which means finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature, thus creating the birth of the Japandi theme.
We focused mainly on minimalistic designs that are aesthetically pleasing yet highly functional. You will also see a more calming and peaceful palette to compliment Japandi furniture and accessories.
