    You guys mentioned Edhi. Some university in Pakistan should do a case study on his logistical operation. He got his ambulances to every corner of Pakistan with-in an hour to half an hour before cell phones and the internet. That logistical solution must be a work of art. Amazon makes bank on getting a package to your house in a day. That logistical solution implemented by Edhi services should be codified and sold for millions.

    • @MurtazaBellucci
      @MurtazaBellucci ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Abdul Sattar Edhi's ability to quickly respond to emergencies and provide aid to people in need across Pakistan was indeed remarkable, and his logistical operation has been studied by many organizations and individuals around the world.
      One of the key factors in Edhi sahab's success was his extensive network of volunteers and supporters who were committed to his cause.
      He relied heavily on this network to spread the word about emergencies and to coordinate the delivery of aid in a timely and efficient manner.
      Edhi sahab established a system of communication using radio networks and landline phones that enabled his teams to quickly respond to emergencies and coordinate their efforts.
      Another important aspect of Edhi sahab's success was his emphasis on simplicity and efficiency.
      He recognized that in emergency situations, time is of the essence, so he designed his operations to be as streamlined as possible.
      For example, he used basic, no-frills ambulances that were easy to maintain and repair, and he trained his staff to focus on providing basic medical care rather than advanced procedures that required specialized equipment.
      Edhi sahab's success in providing aid quickly and efficiently was due to a combination of factors, including his extensive network of volunteers, his emphasis on simplicity and efficiency, and his innovative use of communication technologies.
      His logistical operation is indeed a remarkable achievement, and there is much that other organizations can learn from his example.

    Little about Gujarat riots:
    1) hindu Muslims riots ate rooted in our society is existing from history. Similarly Gujarat had a history of riots of 50 years. For months night curfew use to be common in our childhood.
    2) in 2002, in Godhra station one boggy of hindu pilgrimage of 80 ladies and children were burned alive by muslim mob from masjit nearby.......and when these 80 dead bodies sent for last riots then their was a reaction happened.
    It purely happened at huge scale because of burning 80 people alive.
    3) Govt reacted extremely well by calling military on the same day night and next day military killed more number of hindu rioters!!!!! Adjusent Congress ruled stats requested for extra police which congress refused bluntly.
    4) Gujarat riots are only riots which after investigation bjp minister was convicted and sent jail. This has never happened in India before.
    This explanation does not mean that any body's death is justified.
    ..............even SC after 18 years of investigating cleared govt role.

    one of the best way to determine if your favorite politician is making sense, is to censor the name and listen to their statement.

    Tamkenat, you are so right about our attitudes towards 'others'. Our parents told us when we were small that we bleed the same way as everyone, so we learnt there's no difference between us and anyone else. I really appreciate this today, as covid has equalised our situations in a way that makes us more empathetic. May we all be guided

      ON WEAK HADITH, All these problematic "weak Hadith", Prophet Muhammad and Ayesha's age(till 1900s) etc were accepted by everyone. But as soon as Mominas got to know about Feminism, women empowerment etc, suddenly all these "Weak Hadith" became problematic with no authenticity, and "Islamic scholars" sitting in western University started making new bogus argument to show gores see our scriptures==Bestss, Peopull==Following wrong thing🙃🤲🏼.

    I understand there has been increased transphobia in the last few years but I think you're painting too rosy a picture of our culture in the past. Perhaps you have not had that kind of exposure and are exploring that transphobic facet of the society only through the Internet.
    It's true that Khwaja Siras were invited and welcomed when a child was born but they weren't considered normal human beings. They were always something of an object, whose sole purpose is to dress up and dance. In fact, any man who is "effeminate" or not toxic was commonly and routinely called "khusra" as a slur.
    Not to mention their excessive sexualisation and marginalisation. In the 90s, I myself have seen my older peers in my muhalla harass Khwaja Siras asking them to reveal their genitals to prove that they are not faking it (as if it were a coveted status), eventually settling for seeing their breasts.
    The thing about not getting their _budduaa_ was prevalent but you seem to link it with their having some special status or being closer to God. I never felt it was that. It was more like pitying them for their "disability" just like a "cripple" or blind person, and that's actually part of the problem.
    Finally, at least in Lahore Khwaja Siras were widely bemoaned for standing by the canal road and spreading _fahaashi_ and a vast majority had no empathy for them or a consideration of why they had to do it.

    Don't agree that drama serials need to have the same lingo as everyday life. If you're citing Dhoop Kinaray as an example, just listen to Rahat Kazmi's lines especially when he reflects on his life with his childhood friend. That is quite literary and of course we don't talk like that in real life but creative work is *supposed to* use a purer and more literary form of the language. That is half the pleasure.
    The real problem with tv serials these days is NOT that they use some unrealistic language but that the story and plot themselves are unrealistic and limited. You don't see in them anything that reflects our society and its problems. The language could in fact be much better and more literary, if you keep in mind for example the standards set by Haseena Mueen in the old PTV drama serials.

    • @abubakar.mehmood
      @abubakar.mehmood ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ThePakistanExperience
      Any creative work shouldn't feel contrived or forced but assuming it's done well, I personally would prefer something more literary or formal to something that aims to replicate exactly how I talk at home. Without concrete examples it's hard to talk about the extent after which something looks forced but generally speaking art is supposed to not only entertain and provoke thought, but also to edify. And well-written and somewhat flowery prose contributes to that edification, in my opinion.

    Ma'am in gujrat it started with the killing of Hindu's in Godhra...where Hindu's were burnt alive when a train was blocked and bogies were blocked and the passengers were burnt alive!!! The rest was a reaction that was allowed... FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! POST THAT THERE HAVE BEEN NO RIOTS IN GUJRAT.... WHICH USED TO BE AN TRI ANNUAL OCCURRENCE IN THE SAME STATE!!! What Modi has done is that he is allowing equality!!! He has moved away from appeasement for votes!!!
    KINDLY GOOGLE THE STATS!!!

    I LOVE TAMKENAT ❤️ Thank you for calling her up.
    What I like about this podcast is k lgta hai insaan batien kr rhay hain. Because it’s so organic and there’s zero pretentiousness. Keep doing this shehzad and don’t you ever change the format of your show. Best wishes 💕

    I totally agree. There's a snobbery around platforms now that keeps the online showoffs away from such a lot of fun. I think every level of Pakistan is full of it's own amazing sense of humour. Good to see it all!
