Scotland's Most Remote Bothy? Overnighter in a Remote Scottish Glen.

- Myself & Robin (@WalkWithWallace head off on a wee adventure to the remote Glenbeg Bothy.
Saturday sees us making our way up beautiful Strath Viach & Loch Viach. We then ascend the Corbett Beinn 'Chaisteil 787m before descending North down into Gleann Mor. We then head West into Gleann Beag, before a night in the remote Glenbeg Bothy. The bothy used to be maintained by the MBA, however still seems to be in good nick.
The next again day we head SW up towards Meallan nan Sac, Meallan Ban 882m then onto the Munro Am Faochagach 954m. We descend by taking the land-rover track West down to Strathviach Lodge & back to the start.

That was brilliant Kev. Really wild and remote around there. Bothy looked fun and the atmospheric conditions on Day 2 were spectacular. Cool to hear the Stags.
Tough walking in that though - although at least the tracks were good in places. We travelled past Glascarnoch last year and it seemed really wild around there.

Well done, Kev: had the two of you been hairy, you'd have put a whole new spin on that 1988 film, Gorillas in the Mist - which I always remember seeing on That's Life - advertised above the door of at least one picture house as, Gorillas in the Shit... It seems they never had an M and decided to try an S sideways and somebody well, rearranged the letters...! Oh and, ken the best thing about your legs? They were still moving, mate... Bloody stupid place to build a bothy though, eh? Haha haha!!

Well done boys! Brilliant trip! Totally loved that and I will defo search for this place as it looks like my cup of whisky too😁 I would cycle though and would skip those unattractive hills🤣... it's just excuse for me being lazy though. Of course you had a great views🙂 Feel sorry for you being dragged up those corbets but at least Robin provided some entertainment in the bothy with harmonica😁 Seriously now.. the area looks fantastic and thanks Kevin for adding the bit with the map in video as It will be easier for me to find it. ATB to you both for future trips!

Kev, looked like a super day with those dappled clouds giving lovely light on the hills🌥 That Christmas🎄pudding looked like it was best left until the right time of year😊 The track back towards the bothy looked like good going (even with sore legs) and it is in a stunning location. Worth carrying that wood in for the evening viewing🔥 and accompanying soundtrack🎶 All very cosy looking. Good going too on your claggy, cleggy and midgey second day😊

Thats a great round to do those two hills, I still have Carn Ban to do and did wonder about doing from this side. The bothy would be a good option to break the walk up. Might bag the Christmas pudding as well if in the area. Great video as always...

Haha we had different jackets oan. If we took the bikes we wouldn't be able to do a circuit over the Munro. It would've just been a cycle tae the bothy and back.
