I have one of these on order...can't wait! I love how you demonstrate effects, harmonics, rhythm and bridge positioning. Excellent demonstration...thank you!
excelente material, gracias por ponerlo a disposicion de todos. Es muy necesario tener este tipo de explicacion acerca de la ejecución, interpretacion y escalas de la musica persa en el santur. @@liamp1379 no there was actual tune miss there. Either a tune miss or a very uncharacteristic landing on notes that should not be the landing notes in a dialog
What is it with these videos about santur from Western institutes with players doing stuff that would never fly in Iran or in the tradition. Santur is not plucked, ever! We have Qanon for that. We seriously discourage bridge manipulation. We DO NOT call e and f spare bridges as they are tuned at different tones. The vibrato technic demonstrated would get any student tossed out of a maestro's class because of the amount of damage and risk it can and will put on strings and instrument itself. The worst though would have to be the performance at the start. The tuning is all over the place. But at least that seems to be fixed later on

Malang Sufi no friend that was correct because some iranian pieces has no ryhthm .they first play music without ryhthm then music becomes ryhthmic
