I have no idea why I'm here, I have absolutely no interest in ballet, but I just got a very wholesome feeling from this video. Especially the cameraperson saying the names which gives vibes that they're all friends and there's something heartwarming about seeing a group of friends honing their skills together
As a person who gets out of breath simply from jumping to conclusions, I find the stamina to do this over and over and OVER very impressive. Kudos to all the ballet dancers out there👌🏽🙂
What's amazing is that they're already strong enough to do the jump. It would probably only take them a month or so to really hone in on the technique. Ballerinas are amazing!
Can we appreciate that one girl who was killing it? She was more tanned and was in the front. Bowing down to you sis you went for it and it looked cool 🙇♀️
I love that the ballet teacher does this. All types of styles regardless of gender styles should be taught. Never know when there is a lack of dancers in performances and someone has to step in (happened to me for a dance show, someone didn’t show up, and I had to step in their place to learn their moves).
I noticed that a lot of them were doing a ballet leg lift, more than a kick. As in, their upper half, was still vertical. They weren't leaning their body with the kick. That's why the dude's kick looks graceful like a swan, and theirs didn't.
His foot is facing the back wall before he even lands where as the girls were facing the front wall or side wall. It's really intriguing to see how differing dance styles influence leg work and feet work.
I love that in ballet women are so graceful and the men's jumps and turns seem more like you're training for martial arts. Oh, how I miss my ballet days... even though I sucked and was forced into it in order to join a tap company that recruited me lol
In the first exercise, none of the girls kicked. They dragged their leg, without bending it for an effective kick. If you kick in the spin, you can get an even more effective spin, than when dragging a straight leg through the spin.
Tessa’s face when he asked if she would rather be doing pirouettes. 😂
Tessa lowkey kinda nailed it before she gave up
The 'Bet On It' reference 😂 I'm DYING-
His is the first time any of them have looked anything less than graceful angels from heaven and I love them even more for it 😂
"I'll make a man out of you" playing in the background
That's both ballet and self defense right there

Nah bro this was my favorite unique jump to do as a female dancer 😭 I’m surprised more ladies don’t know/haven’t learned it it’s so fun

ok but he's literally FLOATING this is amazing
As a girl who trains karate, now THAT is ballet I'd be willing to try!

Same energy as "women gymnast try men's gymnastics" and I'm 100% here for it
