Imagine your grandparents meddling in your sex life. Your Grandparents!!! 🤦‍♀️ I wouldn't even say the word sex in front of my grandma 😂

She probably said Logan cuz he was the first one to come to mind and it probably would have been awkward to mention dean to Logan

Yes it has always confused me. I guess she’s saying it from the point of view of the Reverend - he thought she was losing it to Logan

Maybe she lied and told Logan he was her first.

Imagine calling a reverend to talk you out of having sex. Did he forget what decade it was? How silly is this.

Even though I get a chuckle when Rory reveals the fact she's not a virgin, I always hate these subplots where people try to control an adult's sexlife. Rory's virginity is no one else's business but her own. And this may be an unpopular stance, but virginity is not a virtue, it's a status. Like, has this soda been popped or not, or has a container been opened.

This show has such a bad outlook on people having sex. For some reason only in Gilmore Girls are all pregnancies accidental and adults having sex before marriage are seen as a problem. Balance it out with a main character who can’t stop herself from sleeping with married man. What the hell is with this show….?

There were many shows back in the 90s that addressed pre marital sex as big no no. Step by step, 7th heaven, even in 90210 we had Donna who was raised to hold hands and kiss on cheek till he puts the ring on it. And she and Dean were still teens when he cheated on his wife with her. You can't blame teens for not being mature enough

Does the show do that? I honestly don't remember them framing Lorelei having sex with Luke or Jason as a bad thing, or Sookie having sex with Jackson before they were married as a bad thing either.

Gilmore Girls was in part funded by the Family Friendly Programming Forum, a group of advertisers. Basically they helped the show become a reality by both investing money in it, and implictely providing a guarantee that they'd buy ad space while the show aired. That meant that even if the group had no direct involvement in the storylines, to keep it happy in order for them to keep investing money in the WB you had to have some family-friendly (read : conservative) views in your show's stories.

in all fairness, Paris had sex with her unmarried boyfriend. Yes, Lorelei saw it as problematic when she heard Paris and Rory talk about it because she considered Paris too young, but Paris didn't get pregnant, nor was she hurt by her boyfriend. The opinions were kind of divided on Paris' age at the time (I think she was 16, I am not sure though), but that is a matter of personal opinion...
