I'm 14 and I've succeeded in doing this! Me and my best mate were dancing to this song in the Bromsgrove high street about a month and a half ago! The plan originally was for Bowie and Jagger to perform this together via satellite linkup during the 1985 Live Aid concert series. When that proved technically unfeasible and neither man (correctly) showed willingness to mime the song, the plan was scrapped and this shown instead (which was recorded after the single was finished). Both men still performed, Bowie from Wembley after the iconic Queen set and Jagger a few hours later from Philadelphia.

The plan originally was for Bowie and Jagger to perform this together via satellite linkup during the 1985 Live Aid concert series. When that proved technically unfeasible and neither man (correctly) showed willingness to mime the song, the plan was scrapped and this shown instead (which was recorded after the single was finished).
Both men still performed, Bowie from Wembley after the iconic Queen set and Jagger a few hours later from Philadelphia.

this is one of my favorite videos of all time, music or not, and the fact that people even today are being rude and calling it cringy is so sad. they were having fun, and the energy is wonderful, so what's the problem? for some people (me included), it's a very comforting video, so what's the issue? nothing's going to change about it now, so why is complaining necessary?
