I am the proud owner if a Brazes cane made of pecan wood . having grown up along the Brazes river and picked many a pecan helping my family to earn money in the fall and winter it struck home .
We walk across the frozen lake this time of year into town, over to the ice shacks, and along the longest lake skate trail in the world. These stick points would be a must. In the west we don't have much in the way of hardwoods: I see one stick that appears to be diamond willow, a very hard wood that grows in scarce quantities where our family homestead is in Ontario. We also go down slopes here that are sometimes mucky, so these are great, and for seniors fast becoming a requirement!!!
I got the Brazos brass spike on an original hickory hitchhiker (not the twisted oak) you guys custom made for me extra long 10 years ago. It’s only a few bucks less than the Lee Valley spike, but I didn’t get it for that, just liked one piece brass look and the easy change rubber tip. But I am worried what I’ll do if / when the softer brass eventually gets ground down. One advantage of the LV spike!
I have the LEATHER SAFARI EXOTIC WALKING STICK coming thisTuesday, can I replace the standard rubber end with the Spike Ferrule latter? Looking forward to getting my walking stick, thanks for sharing.
I ordered a walking stick for 179.00 and never recieved anything in the mail, was not given a tracking number.wrote company many times. Told them them i have cancer and needed staff to help me get around. Even after i told them of my condition . No word , i should get an attorney , but i have a stupid faith in mankind still. Im an idiot...
You guys need to offer a leather wrapped grip option. Also, need to sell replacement rubber tips for the Lee Valley Spike. Two FAILS! Great staffs though.
@@BrazosWalkingSticks Thanks. However, that’s not the one it came with. The one it came with is threaded like the spike but with a rubber tip on the end.

Hello. What was the first stick you picked up?
I’m ok replacing my rubber tip with ones from big box hardware stores. I like making walking sticks when I have free time.
Are these good for grounding or will I need to attach copper wire ?
How does the TSA feel about the spike tips?
There would be a problem getting through, it is best to contact TSA beforehand.
is there a long stap for the Brazo staff, so it can be carried on the back.
The leather strap does not accommodate carrying on the back.
not possible to order to Europe - just tried.....
