- My review of the new rapala x-rap haku jerkbait. I forgot to mention in the video but this lure is 14cm long and weights 74 grams. the hooks are VMC costal black and it is rigged with 100lbs titanium wire.

I think it`s a very good alternative for those who don`t have gear for jerk bait or don`t know how to use them properly. Haku is very easy to use and you get same action like a classic jerk bait.

Going to Chew Valley near Bristol this week and I have one of these beauties to try so ill report back on Fri. Some guy had a 32lb'er on a fly last week so that gives me hope. Wish me luck!

Yes, absolutely it is. The plastic can withstand throwing in to stones again and again without even a scratch.
Maybe the Westin bullteez and the new size frog next? Awesome drain that one 😉

We fish on a canal you used to fish on a couple of years ago 👍. Really struggling at the minute 🤷♂️. Nothing except a few small jacks on small soft lures. Keep the videos coming, it keeps our hopes up 🤞

Have you ever fished anything like ROBINSONS lures? They look superb quality but I’ve never seen them in action?

I never really saw the appeal of a lipless crank I don’t know why
23 quid is hard to justify for that type of lure. You would be crying if you got it snagged on something and couldn't get it back.
Most big lures cost around that lol. Use proper braid and you wont lose them
@@ThePulzeGamer Not necessarily. The Rapala Peto is around the same size, if not larger and about 6 quid less.
@@grant1133 That has a big soft tail no wonder it would be cheaper lol. 6 quid is fuck all anyways. Not like they are a soft lures that you have to throw away after a few fish
Around here you can get them on sale, just bought one Haku and 14cm Peto for 11e total

Hi guys! I have question my rapala haku hooks come loose when I cast, is there way to fix it or I have faulty one? Unhappy with my purchase so far....
It happens sometimes, depending on how you throw and how the lure lands in the water.
@@henriksjolund8162 It happen too often on mine so I had to return it, it was not holding in and guy in shop checked it as well, but no problem i had my cash back to buy another lure or two👍
@@usiek82 Okay, I've 11 haku. I can do about 200 cast with a Haku and then there can be three cast one after the other which it comes loose. I have also thrown in stone and it has bounced off the stone and the stinger has remained on. It's a little strange but it has worked well for me.
@@henriksjolund8162 I lost cofidence in this lure but as I say my one might been faulty, it was keep coming out every cast even secured properly 10 out of 10 times. I want to spend time fishing not getting annoyed🤣 Glad it works for you👍

Never managed to catch a fish with haku, i need to cover more water . But from my point of view it was a waste of money.
Haku is one of my favourite lures. Possible that it works in one place but catch nothing in other. Time place and colour pattern have big impact on catch rate.
@@regimantasandriukaitis996 i have the same like Dan, on the canals perch is the winner almost all the time. Maybe i am not using it right.

@@patriciamccartney6632 No Buster Jerk does not beat Haku all the time. I have 150 Buster Jerk and have been fishing with them since they came on the market and now I fish with Haku and Lazy Jerk.
