+Grant Robinson At least i have my profile pic on display. There is no need to rude as you don't know me or that I have some medical conditions. I am a former British Army musician. I do suggest you apolgise
The person who put all the bad language in here should be a shame of your self he have no respect. all andre reiu music is so lovely to hear and he has a beautiful agustract and you putting bad comments you should be a shame of your self Chas. Baird
In 1975-ish I was working in a carpet factory in Romsey Hampshire. One of my colleagues sang just the first line of the rude version. I recognised the melody, but not by name. Today, nearly half a century later, I googled the rude lyric, found the title "Blaze Away", and here I am. Sometimes good comes of not so good. Soldiers did sometimes get creative with lyrics for their marches.
Quick internet search yielded the following. It seems to match what they are singing. And here all along I thought this march was about blazing machine guns. We'll make a bonfire of our troubles and we'll watch them blaze away and when they've all gone up in smoke clouds, we'll never worry should they come another day and as the bonfire keeps on burning, happy days will be returning, while the band keeps playing we'll let our troubles blaze away
Nice to see orchestral musicians actually enjoying their work!
LOVE THIS VERSION!!! sorry-I never knew there were words to it!!!
Wish i had a pound for every time i have played this march.
+Katherine Griffiths AILS If you mean weight and not money, it looks like you've played it a lot.
