This video is all sorts of relatable, so that makes these decluttering videos enjoyable for me to watch. I myself have gone through many phases of thinking that certain styles of clothing could look cute on me, but then my mind would end up changing as time goes on. I love my neutrals for the fall and winter months, but during the spring and summer months, I like to get more playful and experiment with color or different prints. It's been a process for me to recognize what it is I love and what doesn't feel like me, and now my body is starting to slowly change thanks to this new medicine I'm taking. Thanks for sharing this video, Naja! ❤

It was interesting to hear your reasons why you decided to declutter certain things. Would love to hear you talking about things you really love and things you don't love so much but you decided to keep for whatever reason.
Hmm the last one was really powerful to hear! Seems like it actually makes you sad to look at that jacket instead of happy… like a bittersweet feeling… I recently gave away some things that I got from my mom, because I realised it made me feel sad EVERY time I saw them… it may seem callous but feels like a weight has been lifted! Hope you will feel the same after this declutter

Great video, Naja! It was very interesting listening to u and some of your reasons resonate on me... I wish some day I will stop buying "maybes", "justincases" and "forspecialoccasions" [that dont arrive and, if they do, I end up wearing something that just feels more like myself ] Curiously, I am also decluttering a chanelesque tweed jacket [that's not me and I have to admit it] and one jumper I literally lived in for 3 or 4 weeks , after falling very ill when I was visiting my parents for a weekend. Mmmm... its not the same, anyway, for the jeans. They fit too good to let them go! 😂😂
Hi Naja, I can totally relate with the emotion of needing an update version of a ghost love piece you have treasured. I have recently rediscovered the love for all star converse like I did when I was a teeneger, just in other colours, and this makes me feel so connected, yet evolved, to my younger self 😊
That’s such a good point! And why would you have needed to hold on to old all stars when you can buy new ones to feel connected?

I really enjoyed this format.
I've seen many videos lately where the creators regretted their excessive decluttering and ended up missing some items. But I guess this kind of sentiment is easier when they had the storage space to hold on to everything.
i think it all comes down to feeling "me".
we all can appreciate different styles, but personal style is a narrow slice of that.
people ask me why i wear all black all the time... it's because anything else feels like a costume & that is an uncomfortable feeling.

I heard some great decluttering advice once (I don't think it was from you but it honestly might have been) that it's really hard to let go of stuff, but it's not hard for it to be gone. It's just that initial decision and the action of getting rid of it, and then afterwards, there's pretty much no emotion. At least that's been my experience.

I'm curious--how do you log it in your Stylebook app once you've gotten rid of it? Do you remove it completely or keep it in a separate folder?
I have a separate folder that I named 'retired'
I don't love that solution, but stylebook doesn't offer a better one as it seems you know!

Big mistake! Huuuge 😂 I love hearing other people’s thought process on decluttering individual items. I recently made a decision to not buy beige anymore! So many different shades, hard to match with what you already have, washed me out too… I will wear the beige bottoms I have but not purchase anything new in that colour. Will go with rich chocolate brown instead… goes better with my other colours
