Red moters have slightly differ water pumps depending on what model and different fans and how the hub sits on the spindle ,also worn lift pumps can have a broken pin on the lever , which means they will pump if you operate the lever when it's off the engine , bolt it on and it won't work I know because I found myself far from home in a VB commy 202 lucky for me their was a wrecked holden nearby I scrounged the lift pump off it and got back on the road .R
I've placed on a new fuel pump and the problem is now solved. With the water pump, I will just press off the mounting flange and machine it down in the lathe seeing as the pump was only $16.
If you dump petrol down the carby it will prime the pump. They don't get enough draw from the starter motor
love your vids man keep it up

Haha, i know that land rover, contemplated buying it.
Looks like a Holden 6 in there. 186 maybe?.
It's a 202 but the later motors apparently have 3.3L cast into the block, which is the case with this one.
