I had never heard of this game until your review, and I now feel it needs to be added to my collection. Thank you, Rodney, for another great and thorough review!!
I got attracted to this one because the box gave me real Eminent Domain vibes - a game I absolutely love and also learned from this channel. With a video length as long as this one, I thought it might get pretty involved and complicated. But as always, you have broken everything down and given an excellent easy-to-follow explanation that makes me think it would not be that hard to get into. Would love to give this one a go.
Great explanation! A couple of things that weren't clear to me, though: do you remove your cubes when you harvest? If not, do you harvest for each cube you have in a galaxy or just once for each galaxy in which you have at least one cube? And lastly, what is the purpose of the throne?
Hey Jackie, let's get this sorted! 1) You do not remove a colony cube when you select it to collect resources from that solar system tile. 2) When taking this action, you may resolve up to the number of colony cubes showing on the action (in the example we show in the video, it shows 2 cubes, so we resolve up to 2 cube). Those two cubes could be on the same colony, or different colonies. You don't have to resolve two cubes on the same colony if you have 2 cubes there, but only want to resolve 1 of them (because you want to resolve another cube somewhere else). 3) Bragging rights. You take the throne once you reach level 3, but the player who ultimately wins the game, claims the throne.
Great video! Just 1 question: if my consumption reach 100, then how the Energy track works? I mean, if i reach 100 with Energy during Assessments, i immediately turn the dice on the next Dark Tech level and then continue to count the Energy point? Or i Just stop at 100, finish the 3rd fase and then change the dice level and move It on "0"? Yesterday i tryed in 2 players, and we both reached 100 consumption very very fast.
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Does this answer your question? boardgamegeek.com/thread/2955120/what-happens-when-consumption-marker-reaches-100
One of these days Luke, Andrea, Chaz, or Matthew are going to show up when he says Player 2 does something, and we'll all faint from shock. Until then, thanks for showing us the games.
I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website. I hope you can find your answer there - have fun playing!
Rodney, I am amazed you were able to cobble together a coherent rules teach, especially with such a poorly written rulebook! (It is simply awful!) I love the mechanism where your point die has to catch up your energy marker as I've never seen that type of mechanism before, but the rest of this game is bland at best. Too much open space to be an area control game. It might be a game that some will enjoy, but I'm sooo glad I didn't buy it. Thanks for all you do Rodney, I really appreciate your ability to make sense in this nonsensical world of badly written rule books.
I absolutely love the colors in this game and the art design. I have to show this one to Ben. He loves sci-fi.

Very glad you enjoyed what you saw Joe - thanks for dropping the feedback!
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial, I hope you had fun playing!
I appreciate Rodney’s shirt color coordination with the board game.
*takes a bow*
Great job on this teach and play. Feel very comfortable pulling this out soon to get my first play in now.
So nice to hear - have a great time playing!
The visual design is very appealing to me. I will definitely check it out!
Glad you enjoyed what you saw - thanks for checking out the video Johnny!

So glad to know the video was helpful!
Played the Game twice this weekend.
Fun, Fast and with great Art Design/Directoin. Big Fan!
So glad you enjoyed :)
What refreshing looking game! Have to try this! 👍
Got some unique elements, doesn't it?
The colour scheme in this game is so cool... It looks especially good with the matching sweater! lol
I tried my best :)
Great video! Looks like a very unique game.
Yeah, that's what struck me about it too.

@@WatchItPlayed Thank you! Looking forward to playing it.
Next we need a solo playthrough of this!
Thanks for the interest!
An absolute legend in the community!
Thank you kindly!

And I'll faint too!
Hi! Could you please explain how the dark bonuses work?

Rodney I love your shirt! Can I ask where you got it?
I don't recall - if I had to guess, maybe Old Navy?
Screens that are designed to be stable are good screens. At least it looks like it is.
Yep, no complaints here - and they easily pack down, which is helpful!
Wow! I've never even SEEN this! @_@
Always fun when we can still surprise ya!
Never heard of this game until it got nominated for Kennerspiel
Well hey, thanks for checking out the video!

You are amazing
Thanks for checking out the video!
Watching the box cover slide down onto the lower box is so satisfying, also very cool mechanics and I love the colour scheme 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks for checking out the video Kira!
