For anyone panicking - Wembley will be back tomorrow!
Season wrap up tomorrow?
Removing international management on the same year they switch game engine and still adding women’s league… this game’s management is going to sht
Ain’t pre ordering this game let alone buy it 😂
They took a look at the Wembley series and thought "Kevin needs more time before FM 25, let's delay it."
😂
Something tells me I should probably just stick with FM24 for another year at least
After reading it I literally started a new save 5 min later
same
Agreed, Have bought it every year sine CM 04. But this year gonna be a skip as FM 25 is gonna be a work in progress game but unlike other games the team will pump resource into FM 26 instead of refining the features in FM 25.
Same here. I'll wait a year til they have ironed out the inevitable bugs.
I stuck with fm23 because they said fm24 was the little update, while they spent two years doing fm25.
Would rather they delay the launch than rush out an unfinished mess
Memories of Cyberpunk 2077 release
SI: Why not both?
@@theqaz1828Yep my thoughts exactly. Apparently Cyberpunk is really good now though
@@theqaz1828oh and don’t forget about No Mans Sky. Another game though that is really good now
I hope I'm wrong, but I believe it will be a mess regardless. Switching to a new engine is a big undertaking.
We need the Zealand, Benji, WTS, and Kev Lan session again that was a quality series
If the game is delayed further, surely they have to do that. They’ll get decent viewership.
Hopefully Jack doesn't resign again
Considering how “well” received Bens “funny joke” at the FM WC was, I highly doubt that that’s going to happen
@@beatsbyadmiralz5915 what happened?
Would definitely love to see that again.
So they're telling us there are low numbers for national managers/saves. What do they think is going to happen with the womans football saves?
I'd rather have national jobs than the option no one asked for in womens football
They'll use day 1 stats as if it was true all year as you know Kev and everyone else will use it as easy content (don't blame them I must say) besides that nobody will give a shit
there is going to be nobody playing it bar the content guys for a save or two so they look woke for the sponsors
If he thinks 5.6% that play international teams is low and not worth including it, I can't wait to see the even lower amount that will bother to manage a women's team 😅. That will then be removed in FM26 based on the percentage logic.
they wont. and thats the sad part.
Spot on.
They'll use the day 1 stat when everyone uses it for content, then lie
Yep I would rather them have delayed women football until the next year and kept international footy, I use it every year and have done for over 20 years.
there could be 0.08% playing the women's teams and it will never ever be removed
When you've got no hope of hitting a deadline, you have to make hard choices. That's clearly what the FM team are doing here.
Spot on here
They have to cater to mobile gamers who have 0 attention span.
100%
People shouldn't be surprised by this. This is nobody's fault except maybe that they need to release one every year.
Which is on the other hand a good thing because I want them to have plenty of money to make the game they want a reality.
@@LondronablePerfectly said
@Londronable Logged into my account just to reply to this. There is absolutely NO need to make a new game every single year like the money grabbing FIFA games. If FM25 is not playable then they need to give FM24 a DLC for the updated teams and players for this season.
Sticking to fm24. Not touching this incoming mess.
I can't say that I will miss international management, per se, but it's very strange to remove it in the same version that implements women's football. The international game is so much bigger than the club game on the women's side. I was really looking forward to a USWNT save. I'm honestly so let down by this whole announcement. It sounds like a mess.
Same! Finally i’ve seen someone mention this key point! Was so looking forward to the women’s game being introduced, specifically to play the international game. Really frustrating as it feels like one of the main features i was looking forward to has been delayed a year (i know this won’t be the case for many people but yeah)
I haven't thought about it but I bet it's the women's international management which is probably one step to far for the development.
@@AndySport I think SI are focused on the long-term benefits of including women's football, rather than just FM25. The women's game is growing across the world, meaning SI has the opportunity to address a fresh audience - female players especially.
If they nail the mixed mens & women's universe now, then they're set for the next decade of FM releases.
@@BatteryBee I hope this ends up as a blip. I hope FM25 is a pleasant surprise and FM26 is what we all hope it’ll be. It’s hard to stay optimistic right now though.
115 likes. Coincidence?
Any other "meatheads" think it's ridiculous to get rid of weight?
If weight fluctuation is that big a deal, make it a game feature, have cardio sessions in your training schedule to reduce weight or strength training to increase it. Or just leave it as it is. Seems pointless to get rid of something like that.
I want Sean Dyche as my fitness coach making my entire squad Dyche-Fit orcs and win the UCL
Kev is just morally superior to us mere plebs.
But it's probably a ballache to code it properly, even that FM has such a high standard for accuracy and realism, when they have a million other things to get right
You could even have player weight fluctuate depending on personality type. We all know the stories of players that come back to training with a lot excess weight because they didn't take care of themselves during longer breaks and how some players have a tougher time staying in shape. You could even add a nutritionist as part of the staff. The better the nutritionist, the easier to keep players fit.
It's one of the real world aspects that's important to the sport, but had always been underdeveloped in the game. Instead of expanding it, they decided they can't be bothered to deal with it.
Saw someone say if you're loking at a 6'6 targetman now how do you know if you're getting a Jan Koller or a Peter Crouch. It's a fair point that. Surely the 3D engine must be miles better so you can scout players and they have an actual physique, otherwise it's a massive mistake to get rid of it. In real life scouts, coaches, managers will say things like "good size". It's not the most important part of recruiting players but it's pretty major and they've got rid of it
Feel like them saying only 5% of players manage internationally isn't entirely accurate as a reason to remove it. I feel like most players want to start at a club and earn an international job, not select one to manage when creating a new save, and typically for the better countries, you will probably wait 4/5 seasons before a lot of countries will even look at you as you have little silverware. Considering a lot of players don't make 5 seasons, or start at a low level, it will take a long time to be considered for big international jobs, doesn't necessarily mean people don't wish to play it.
Feel like with the delays, and removal of some stuff that people actually enjoyed, feel like this FM will under perform massively, maybe feel a bit empty but hopefully with the experience on the new engine make it easier for SI to develop and include more into FM26!
Just seen they plan to have it return in fm26 so hopefully that works out!!
A lot of people also enjoy their own country job specifically and in certain places it's a challenge to achieve that
I would play internationally more often if it didn't suck so bad
I just did an entire career in international management. Absolute joke when developers "upgrade" something and remove half the current features
This is me 100%. I always start any save planning to start with a club and make my way to international management. No major nation seems to want me though, even after 4-5 seasons with 2-3 top 5 leagues trophies and 2-3 UCLs, so I often "complete" the club side before I can land an international job.
I don't really like the idea of taking off the weight of players, I think it's something that is foundementaly important in sports. If anything they should of done the opposite, make it part of the game mechanics, where players gain and lose weight. It's something the manager needs to deal with in training or player talks or maybe even get nutrition into the game, just like we have sport scientists, I see no reason not to also bring in a nutritionist as part of the backroom team.
maybe even implement a all thing in the game where you can get players to gain more muscles, lose some muscles etc.. would be interesting in my opinion.
just the idea of the players coming back from vacation and because of their personality and what not, they came to the new season 20 kilos more, and you need to have a talk with them about that, give them some extra time during training for cardio and such, could be very cool.
The game has always had players with up and down arrows on attributes, I don't know why weight for women was too much to calculate. On top of that If only 5% manage countries, imagine how many are planning on managing women's clubs?
Careful. You may be called a meathead.
Also just for immersion i like to know whether my 6’5 cb is a 100kg tank or a 75kg stick
@@mathewholman927 And, while I'm no expert on football, I would imagine that would matter, all other things being equal.
And if it does matter (why else would it still be maintained behind the scenes), now we can't use it as a data point for evaluating players.
What you describe isn't part of FM24 and if you don't understand why weight is problematic especially for women in a game like this it's quite hopeless to even discuss it with you.
Hold on, so their removing international, while adding womens football to the game. How many of us FM players will ever load up a womens save? seriously? totally pointless and a waste of time in my eyes.
they are clearly trying to move on from having 95% of their playerbase be incel shut-ins obsessed with spreadsheets to a more general public, that is why they are releasing womens football regardless of how underpolished the rest of the game might be
i know im sounding petty and overexaggerating, but for example watching zealands SYS series and realising that if i sent a save i would (i think) be the first woman there drives me kind of mad
@@M1KisCool Nothing wrong at all with women playing the game, that wasn't what i was suggesting. My point was, they removed international management in FM25 saying not enough people play it, yet they have spent time and effort to introduce womens football, which lets be fair, 99% of people won't use.
Myself, but I agreed that removing international management it's crazy, I really don't know what they are thinking
Im dying inside, why put woman's league in this? It should be an option, and a add on, should not be consuming resources , its going to be lower than the international player count im almost sure. Nobody asked for that.
I'm starting to think I should probably skip FM25 and just play the current version until FM26 is out.
I understand such a big overhaul takes effort, but FM25 increasingly looks feature poor compared to what we've been accustomed to.
I wonder if it wouldn't have made more sense to release FM25 as a sort of database update for FM24 without additional changes, so they could have more time to actually make the new game feature complete for next year. Of course then it wouldn't make much sense to charge full price for FM25 if it was little more than a database update. Then again as it stands it doesn't make much sense to charge full price for FM25 either if you're removing so many features from the game.
They actually started fm25 during the fm24 cycle as they apologised for the lack of features in last year's edition. An engine change is a big one and I am happy to buy if it's good to play that's the acid test
wait for fm28, 26 & 27 will be spent fixing and re-adding gutted stuff
I suspect you'll want to play 24 for far longer than that. Tbh I would still play FM 12 if I could make it work on my SteamDeck
It's looking scary. The fact that this game was actually delayed by a year already, and seemingly still struggling to meet this deadline. There's more to this than, ''we're a couple of weeks behind''. Seems like a HUGE problem between SI & SEGA, or they've completely F'd it and this is the best excuse for what could be a disaster come launch.
Yes I’ve seen this play out many times with other games.
All the cut features and then this new short delay are big red flags. That often means the game is nowhere near at the level they want, that the devs have asked for more time to complete the game and the money people who understand nothing about actually making a game say “sure you can have an extra couple of weeks”.
The delay from the beginning of November to the end of November is not enough time to do anything, which means to me they wanted much more time and aren’t being given it.
@@TaniasUncle What also worries me is the lack of any kind of positive or actual game feature update. So far the 2 updates they have given on FM25 have been largely negative (delays and features removed). I can only think of 2 reasons for it: SI either has terrible PR or they have nothing to show (which, 2 months before launch would be very worrying).
Yeh the whole miles cancelling all his appearances at various events etc made me think somethings really going south with this. Hope I’m wrong.
@@DDWES he should never have to throw such a pity card. The fact that he feels he needs to say that to hopefully soften the blow should let you know. It’s all up in the air.
@@TaniasUncle agreed. It’s deadline extension and little time & resources to actually deliver. I have a big feeling It’s going to be firefighting and damage limitation for a long time once they actually drop.
The thing is people don't play international management because it's broken, I would have thought getting this fixed before adding a whole new game mode IE woman's football would have taken priority. At the risk of being that guy, I'd be interested to see the % of players using woman's football vs playing international in this year's game which we know is 5.6%
I was going to make this exact point as I have zero interest in women's football, so I would imagine a lot of people with the same thoughts. I can only see the % being smaller than 5.6%
@@craigjennings4921 1st year might be high as people try it out, but expect later down the years it will mostly be journeymen save starting unemployed and getting a job with one
On a brighter note, FM24 is currently free on epic (as at Sept 6, 2024 AEST: if you're more than a week in the future you're probably out of luck). So if you skipped this year's game for financial or other reasons, you now don't have to!
Why did they remove player weights? Wouldnt it make more sense for them to allow the weight of every player to fluctuate by about 10 pounds either way?
Dynamic weight/fitness tied to personality types
@symptomofsouls exactly. Plus some clubs have vastly different training focuses. For example, Bayern players are generally a bit on the bulkier side, favoring the extra strength, while Barca players are generally slimmer because the coaches are more focused on technical aspects of the game. I mean, just compare Lewandowski's physique at both clubs. He's definitely shed a few pounds of muscle.
@@ShadowElectricity would be interesting to see messages like "x player is struggling to adapt to the physicality of the league" and give you prompts to deal with it
I'd love the idea of a pre-season report where your star winger has come back 20 pounds heavier and needs a diet regime, or a depressed striker on a goal drought has gotten depressed and is binge eating to cope
Is weight or height actually linked to the physical attributes in any way? This seems to be an admission that it's just a random number
Was just thinking the other day, its so quiet on The FM25 front
I have a feeling it's going to be shit. An overpriced buggy mobile game for the PC.
You would think they would show some new features at this point, they’ve been working on it for 2 years apparently
@@IAmThatBit-- Why?
@@Diogo85 Miles talking about how they were going to cater for the majority and then saying that most of their fanbase play FM touch. Then the images of the UI further confirms it. Then this latest post from Miles makes it sound like there will be nothing in the game
@@Collouk1Exactly. No images from the match engine, and only a couple months out from launch.
I think we are seeing the demise of football manager folks! It’s all about being more console friendly.
that happened when we started testing the gameplay last year.. stats dont seem to matter much anymore..
i think taking international management out is a huge loss!
Whilst it’s not the most popular gameplay with players due to lack of games etc, the world cup is still the biggest sporting event on the planet and if they want to be making a full on realistic Football real world simulator then you need to be able to play it
It is coming back in FM 2026. They just can't finish it in time. So many of y'all are acting like they are removing it forever.
@@IonicThreeHow can you defend them they'll still charge the Same Price despite removing basic Features they are starting to sound like EA
No they aren't. They actually want to make a good game and not just take the money. Transferring to a new engine is never easy and time and time again companies have to remove things because they don't work the way they want on this engine. Just stay on fm24 with up to date data updates until fm26
@@sirjames3575 That is just ridiculous. People on the internet need to stop overreacting to something that they don't know if their anger is justified. They are temporarily removing game modes so they can finish the game within a decent time frame. They are not creating scam ultimate team to bleed money out of a fanbase. Stop getting angry over nothing.
Just like Lollujo said, this is how every strategy game works. When you make a new iteration, you go back to barebones and slowly work your way to a game that is better than the final product from before.
Now, if they don't bring these game modes back, then that it a problem, but they say they are bringing them back once they are completed properly.
It's a ridiculous move. The possibility of being offered an international job is a huge part of a football manager's career. It's particularly bad given that they're adding women's football which is effectively a seperate sport. Why not add futsal.
I’m still on FM22, and I DO use international management. I’m currently St. Lucia’s manager, ranked 162 in the world. I can see this being delayed until after the end of January transfer window patch, realistically.
I dread to think of the mess a game rushed out for Christmas will be.
I’ll wait for the official trailer at the end of September but all of these changes are making me think I should stick it out with FM24 for another year
This reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077. It was also delayed by a couple weeks, and was still broken. I feel FM 25 will be cataclysmic.
Yeah. Couple of weeks is nothing. It means that they are already scrambling so probably expect an unfinished game. The question is how unfinished?
@@yura50597 in pole position for a complete wreckage it seems 😣

Even with the delays this still sounds ridiculous. Sounds like FM are going down the typical sports game path of gut content and then drip feed it back to us over years as “new features”.
I don't see them assuming this position at all. They are making it very clear that these features will come back and they just need time to be revamped
We are def getting delayed AND a terrible game. They have absolutely no idea on how to make it right.
Typically, sports games don't completely change their engine every year...
@@thechilldownunderYeah, it's a pretty ridiculous take. There's a clear reason behind the delay and cut featured. Porting a game to a completely new engine is hard, time consuming and complex
That sucks i actually really enjoyed doing international teams did Canada and luxembourg loved every min actually was more successful as a nation manager then club
Same... I love my journeymans and in my last save I guided Albania to a Euro qualification and then got poached by Marocco for their WC qualifying campaign. It's a bit barebones though, I would love to have some more options for training and morale/team cohesion management.
Blame the pandering for women
Reduced quality

All I'm hearing is what they're removing. I'm sticking with FM 24 until FM 26 comes out. Thank god for data updates.
Looks like this will be the first year in a while that Football Manager takes a step back in terms of gameplay.
Adding womans football like they are is a big mistake. All this effort for a sport barely watched in comparison to the mens game, yet they want to fully link it in the same game and database. So here we go with this first issue on the clash....weight...
Careful there. You have to be a happy clapper when it comes to womens football or you're called a misogynist.
I barely know any other guys who play football manager let alone women......there's no way more than 1 percent of players will play womens football.
I love international managing, prob will skip fm25 and wait for fm26 when it will actually work
Same. It's just very loud FM content created who hate international management and complained until they got their way. Lots of us who actually pay for Football Manager love it

Not a meathead in any way but the weight thing is just a nonsense. I get in the current climate you need to tow the line and say you understand it but in a game where i can take grimsby town to champions league glory the fact a female players weight doesnt change weekly would really not break the immersion.
Maybe in the next blog he can be honest about the reason
Removing player weights is BS. Very important and should be dynamic linked with natural fitness / long term injuries

What's going on is that for the first time in almost 20 years, SI is having to actually develop a new game in a modern game engine, and not churn out database updates with UI tweaks and minor feature additions.
And they're finding out that they don't have much development talent.
I remember the same thing happened to the PES series when the game got delayed many times (ended releasing a way worse product at the end).
Changing the engine for a game that have yearly releases is crazy!
On a side note, i am still more worried about the hole "FIFAe World Cup" and the future that this will bring us. Every time a competitive mode entered in a simulation based enviroment... it did not ended well for the simulation side.
Hmm, lack of international management on top of other dropped features means I’m going to skip 25 completely. Hopefully if they sort everything else I will pick back up with 26.
Sorry but this is diabolical.
I’m genuinely worried about the future of the game, removing features, dumbing down features and acting like there’s nothing wrong with it.
It's essentially a reboot, FM25 will worse than recent FMs, but it'll (hopefully) be worth it in the long run. It's really not the end of the world, I promise you'll survive having to deal with a 'lesser' FM for a couple of years.
But why should we pay for a lesser game when fm 24 already exists?
So to sum up, we’re aligning it and taking away features to dumb it down and make is as basic as console
They are going to bottle this.
Womans football but no mens international very sad day indeed they should of pushed the womans introduction back untill they get the game we already have fully converted to the new engine
really constructive conversation and some good points made, in the long run it will benefit the game this short delay, just have to be patient.
The weight removal is so stupid, specially that nobody had problem with it so far. As for the "missing" international management, etc. - it was known that big parts of the game will not be in FM 25 version. Simply you cannot make whole new game of such complexity in 2-3 years, so I am fine with that. It is just a year. However I do not like the dei bulshit, because this is what it seems to be implemented here.
Oh, and Kev - now you have more time for Wembley to be back at Wembley ;)
With Epic giving away FM24 i don't see a reason for anybody (other then streamers i guess) to buy FM25 it just seems like an unfinished mess that will have much less features then previous FM games, at this point just wait for FM26
And the streamers will just say it's a great game anyway.
@@mliam0709 Because they lick Mile's ring piece

Same. Its crap from loud mouth content creators like Lollujo who have complained until they hot their way. Actual FM fans love international management
So if the game isn't as complete then surely that also means it should be cheaper...
Definitely not going to happen. The development costs for FM25 are going to be the highest ever and they need to recoup that.

I think the best, "consumer friendly" option for them would be to either release FM25 at a reduced price (as it is essentially a beta for FM26 by the sound of it) or just sell us a database update for FM24 for like $20 or so.
I'm guessing that now this announcement has come through that we'll likely have a "start of 2024/25 season" database made available before end of November that'll be fan made and on the Steam Workshop, and I shall be eternally grateful and willing to tip for
why pay for an update when there is free updates online?
everything i read about FM25 is very disappointing! don’t think i’ll get it, i’ll stick to FM24, which is itself a very good game maybe i’ll come back to FM26
Absolutely horrible update, with again nothing positive about the new game. No new features, no footage, just delays and cuts, and insights into how this is negatively affecting Miles personally, which I think we all agree is the most important thing for a development update. I cannot understand how a person can be this tone deaf and unsympathetic with so many years of experience.
Community has been asking for international management to get better, as it is just not fun. So they remove it, but promise it will come back better next year. I'll believe it when I see it.
The weight thing: Doesn't matter too much I guess, but I thought they would remove it because it is possibly a techy subject for female athletes that could lead to them receiving abuse.
I was really hoping for anything to get me excited for this game, but so far I fear we're not even getting the usual half-baked SI features, we're just getting no features at all.
rather have international than women's 👀
Love you brother. But you got a dream job. You gotta figure it out. I don’t like when TH-camrs try and make the viewer feel guilty.
I'm sure they will make International Football better for FM26 compared to FM24, but not having it for the launch of women's football isn't ideal at all
Feels like FM26 will be the game to get !
I don't want a console friendly game on the pc
They should've developed international football BEFORE adding womens football....BIG BIG mistake! I've purchased every version of this game....BUT this is maybe when i stop
I agree. It is a massive kick up the arse to the pc players of FM, and let's be honest it is the pc players that have got sports interactive to where they are today by buying and playing the game religiously for the past 30 years to now have a scaled down game to suit the console. The console does not have and never will have the capabilities to play a game like FM so we will all have to adjust to playing a watered down half baked game not just now but forever onwards. The pc version will always have to be on the same level playing field as the console and that is a major concern. I hope I am proved wrong.
@@SM-ie1bo I really hope we are wrong

@@jamieoneill4960yes very true and the x box and playstation will play the game no problem,my point is how indepth can the consoles go with a heavy weight pc spreadsheet game and how far can the consoles go with a game like fm

Sortitoutsi?
If I thought there was any chance of us ever getting paid to say nice things about the game, I’d have been a lot more positive in this video…
I thought it was a joke post when I first read it.
No international management? No more weight stat?
My god - women have already completely ruined FIFA, and now this insanity is poisoning FM.
there is so many red flags I can't convince myself that this gonna be a good game.
Great communication from SI and the choices they made sound really sensible and looking to provide the best product. Although it is disappointing, I am still super excited for the new look FM when we do get our hands on it.
So instead of the pinnacle of football- the World Cup, we get women’s football.
As a consumer I’m very very happy with the delay. Hate games that are forced out before they are ready just for the sake of it. For such a big change it’s much more important they get it right than quick, and there’s plenty still to do on older games while we wait.
No issues
Gone from definitely pre-ordering to definitely waiting for the reviews.
Even better, wait FM25 to be available for free. Save your money for FM26 at this point.
What a bad work from Miles. November is already late and now late november/start december is almost halfway season. I fear we will all be beta testers when this game ever come out. New engine so enough problems for us to swallow. Hope Miles will bend his knees and sell fm25 for half price as its late and not a full game.
I do think taking international management out instead of revamping it is a huge miss
Yeah but they charge us each year. They cant give us just a light version of the game this year and then next year charge us full price again with (new) things that were in FM15 but are new is this engine...
This just validates my decision to skip this coming year's FM game and keep with FM24. This gives them a year to work out / work through the new engine and figure out the tweeks that need to be made. The year following should be a more polished version with the new engine with the lessons learned from the first year version. Cheers!
I agree with a lot of the sentiment here. I will say this though, we've been asked to have a forgiving attitude and go easy on the game for quite some time now it seems to me. Most of us love the game and have shown real patience around the lack of development progress and a multitude of issues within the game itself that vary from one player to another. As a result of this there's been a decline in expectations and to some extent a malaise around what's seen as reasonable progression between versions. Lots of people end up feeling they're just grateful a new version came out.......
I would say it'd be nice if a version released that actually really exceeded expectations and rewarded that patience. Let's hope it's FM26 because I feel like we're due that.
Removal of the weight is annoying and they probably should have just cut the international management earlier on in their development, knowing that the World Cup is going to change for 2026 anyway! I understand adding in the women leagues, but it will be interesting to see what percentage play that version / leagues. It seems to be that anything less than 5% is getting the chop!
the womens leagues are part of the same game its not a different 'version'. the reason people dont play international is because you holiday for 90% of it and its barebones compared to club management. with the womens leagues you can do a journeyman where you start at a womens team and you will be playing games like normal not waiting around most of the time. if you think people wont play the womens leagues youre wrong and there will be 100s of youtubers making content with it for the easy views instead of doing the exact same content they did last release
@@cltuxunink I don’t disagree, I think some people will play it. However, I think it will be a small percentage of people when looking at the overall number of people playing the game. Just like FIFA and FC24, it’s less than 2% of players. For me it means SI focussing on an area of the game when there is clearly other priorities / improvements that can be made.
Political correctness gone made, let’s introduce women but now we need to hide the weight stat. Too many red flags, I’m sticking with 24
New engine, I expected the delay and I think it will be still very buggy when it comes out.
Womens football 😆 🤣.. they've never stopped pushing that despite no fooker being interested in it. They've well and truly beaten that poor horse to death. And they still haven't added a ownership feature either,, I mean that's more asked for than "women's football" by 100,000 to 1... yet you get womens football... glad I stopped playing it in 2014.
Gives me more time to finish my journey with AFC Crewe
Altough I haven't used it much lately, I always liked having the option to play international management. It provided me with some gems especially during journeyman saves. And with women's football coming, I was planning on playing some international management on the women's side, due to me being more familiar with the international side of women's football than it's club side. All in all, not happy with that decision, might wait for FM26.
im not too fussed about international management but i likely wont be getting 25 because its not in
I am on the fence about this one since i was one of the 5% but am happy if international management gets a longer term revamp but they have taken many things away so the engine needs to be worth the wait.
The only red flag i really have for it though is how late they have waited since crunch isnt good for a quality product
Well, seems FM25 will be the first I will skip since CM98/99. Beyond my concerns over the new codebase they removed international management which I did enjoy (I like to club + intl manage in Building A Nation style saves).
Along with everything else they removed I was already holding off on getting it on release and first seeing how it'll be. But if it is going to be missing features I did use and enjoy I see no use in downgrading to FM25.
I think it would have been better to keep some of the removed features and delay womens football until FM26
So Football Manager 2025 will be FM 25 light... okay, but you cannot expect people paying full price.
I think the dev team is working out how to code Aliens specifically into the version that Kev is getting.
if they charge full price for this half baked game then ill be getting it for free on the seven seas if you catch my drift.
i honestly like the approach they are takng with this game. it will be maybe a bit less dense in terms of features but it a very good foundation and really exciting for the future
i honestly dont understund the change whay remove wight and how long they ar
Cause dare you get a women's weight wrong, 🤦♂
We’re just “meatheads” that don’t understand. Hopefully they’ll replace it with something that gives you an idea of build etc. Strength and balance don’t always give you the correct image of what a player looks like.
This is why i bought FM24 even though i dont buy every year normally as you just knew FM25 would have problems. Unity is notorously like this too.
"As we've seen on Twitter"
...
*shrugs in Brazilian*
Too busy ticking boxes than creating a game.
They started development on this alongside FM24 so the delay and removal of features is very concerning, suggests SI seriously underestimated moving to Unity.
With such a huge project maybe adding women's football should have been side lined until 2026. Im not against adding it I personally won't be playing it I just don't want the quality of the game to be impacted due to the addition of women's football.
With all these features they are removing, FM25 feels more like a proof of concept rather than an actual game.
Probably going to wait to see some play tests before buying it... I'm sceptical.. hope for the best, expect very little... currently in 2049 on FM24, will keep playing that in the mean time
I get they’re moving to a new engine but why do we put up with paying full price for an underdeveloped game nowadays??
I like International management in FM!!!
If they release FM25 with a crap match engine like FM24 then I’ll probably be done with these developers. Been playing since 01/02 season.
They’re to worried about being politically correct and taking weight out of the game? Give me a break. Focus on having a genuine match engine instead of a fraudulent game that you milk every year.
I tried international management in 24 once, almost died from boredom and never touched it since.
because you got bored in between the club matcges isnt it
If they bring back the international stuff better for fm 26 it would probably be worth the wait, very concerned about the delay tho.
Get ready for the international management DLC, shortly after the fat club DLC.
It would have made more sense to delay the game much further to get the best fm25 experience and even get removed features like international management. But I guess from a business standpoint it wouldn't have made sense, but for the loyal fans they should've done for us.
SI joining the increasing trend of gaming fiascos.
Well said mate...everything goes to 💩 nowdays...
Personally this will be my first ever football manager game but unsure what they are doing with the game. But I hope the delays are fully worth it for long time players.
You should make an experiment video to test weight since so many people are suddenly worried about it. All attributes are the same across 3 teams; Skinny FC, Average FC and Big Chungus FC.
as you have said before Kev, this is effectively FM3 and the first generation naturally wont be as polished as then last game in the cycle of FM2
Can’t imagine Anyone thinks this will be nice polished game. When they switched to 3D engine it was a buggy mess until after several patches and FM25 is a completely new engine so this could likely take a few versions to get right but FM28 will be awesome 😃
Looks very much FM26 will be my target. This FM25 will be messy on several levels no doubt.
