MY E36 DRIFTCAR DYNO DAY MY ENGINE BLEW UP

- today was supposed to be the big day where I get my e36 to 400whp! but it did not turned out that way. at 320whp it blew up. looks like my timing either skipped or the cam moved and caused total engine failure in cyl 1. I feel like I left myself down building the engine at some point or just a mechanical failure. can't recall since I had built this engine so long ago( the internals). back to building another engine now. It was great to hear my GTX3582R gen II turbo spool up from outside the car for once. so happy to be able to work with turbobygarrett. I have to take the turbo appart and inspect from damage. hopefully its alright.

like i've said before, 2019 bro...2019. all that time, work and money into that hunk of shit. you could've probably bought yourself a nice drift car and instead already be drifting and film drift videos and include maintenance/upgrade videos as well.
dont put yourself down for this little mistake man! its only a little hiccup in the project, we all know youll come out of this twice and strong and of course, big BOOST!

Feel so sorry for Alberto. He always helps everyone else in a heart beat with as little notice as possible and when hes the one who really needs the help everyone just abandons him and leaves him to fend for himself.

I'm so sorry to hear about your car dude, we could all see how excited you have been to have it finished! It broke my heart hearing you say that nobody came to help you, I've been dealing with the same problem trying to get my S13 finished. You're always the first to help people & you're the most genuine person. I can't belive nobody came to help, you would be such an awesome friend to have!

Alberto I know exactly how you felt when no one would come help you. I work on all my family and friends vehicles and I'm always there when any of them need help with something. But when I'm in need of a hand I can't even pay one of them to show up. It really makes you feel unimportant and worthless but yet I still show up when any of them needs help.

That sucks, Alberto, but stay with it! BMW makes a great inline 6, and it's really cool to see someone building a motor that isn't an LS or a JZ, especially when it's actually a great motor.

this wasn't on my plans especially financially. I already ordered all the parts for the new build. but still not fully building it. way stronger than this engine though. will be uploading a few videos about the process
crazy feeling how you always help everyone with their cars yet when you need help no one can come help. help doesnt always mean turning wrenches. sometime just having your "friends" with you while working on your car is all you need/want. Sorry about the car man. Friends or not that car will be banging the streets/track in no time.

Man thats ruff alberto. I had a engine go bang on its first full pull after being dynoed. It sucks but it comes with playing with boost.. gutted im on the other side of the world or id be happy to be your tool fetcher/ floor sweeper.😆

This could be a strong lesion to others. For example, not only do you "just" blow your engine, when that happens, but it could also destroy your turbo as well and more. I never thought of that. DAMN MAN!!! I hope your brand new turbo is in alright shape or can be fixed, without costing lots of $!
Props for calling out the bums that didn't show lol. You said it blew at 300hp. Isn't that a bit more than what it puts out in stock form (NA) to the wheels?
