Oh my goodness you never seen World of Dance. Oh sir you are missing out! I wish it was still on the air. I appreciate you showing so many things I would have possibly missed. Before I found your channel I would re watch episodes of the chosen to see what I missed before. I am enjoying your break downs.
I wasn't well aware of a stigma about dance in the church. It is not something I grew up hearing or seeing at all. I was blessed to be part of the Allen Liturgical Dance Ministry in NY as a teenager where Biblical teaching was the basis on which we built our technical training as we learned to minister to God and His people. I'm glad this dancer has that understanding, though, and is able to be as respectful as possible in his choreography for this show. Dance is such a gift; a beautiful expression of worship to the Gift-Giver.
I think it makes a better lesson for us if Rama chooses to leave her family and follow Jesus. And God could help her get taken care of if she ends up marrying Thomas.

I love both of your channels. One comment about the death of John the Baptist. I remember an interview where I think Amber referenced seeing the fake head and it freaked her out. Do you recall that? I was thinking she was referring to Jesus at the crucifixion, but maybe she was talking about John the Baptist's head?
That was a good catch of Ramah's line! It would be so sad if Ramah gets disowned, but it does make sense that if Kafni DID die, Ramah should be taking care of family affairs - unless there was a male relative that took over all that. Or unless the directors decided to just bring her back anyway.
In season 2 episode 3 when they were talking about the Messiah coming and how they would react she said something about ask my brother because I'm just a girl. So I think that means Rahma has a brother. There would be no reason for her to have to go home if her father passed away.

Not dancing in the church is wrong. "Praise him with the timbrel and dance." GOD has granted us dance. Solome was NOT a believer in GOD. So her dancing isn't a reason to stop folk from dancing in the church. As long as it to the glory of GOD. We Pentecostals dance before the LORD all the time and it's not evil.
The dance trainer's point about the dance being formerly banned by churches I think really does refer to the traditional view of The Dance Of The Seven Veils being incredibly seductive. I'm certainly SUPER eager to see how it actually plays on screen!
The dance of the 7 veils is not Biblically nor historically accurate as it was created by Oscar Wilde in the 19th century. There's sadly not much data on first century dances as far I've been able to look into it with search engines.
No, men were not created to dance and hopping around in a circle is not what you would call actual dancing. I've done my share at Messianic temples. Now women, yes, they were created to dance ... nuff said

Salome's age is almost accurate. She was not older than 16. Her clothes are not accurate neither is the dance. Salome would have wore very revealing clothes and lots of jewelry because she was a herodian princess. This dance is more of China area not Israel Palestine area.
