I just got my first organic sale! My shop had been open so long that the credit card I put on file at Printify had expired. I was in an Etsy funk and hadn't signed in a for a while. Well it's a good thing I did or the person wouldn't have gotten their shirt and my first review would have been a BAD one.. Thank you Shawna for all the inspiration, I love your videos and your energy (wish I had energy like that LOL)
@@MariMari-vq8hl Thank you for your good wishes, but sadly just one more. I have to dig deeper into my calculations, Etsy sent me less money than I expected. And I had used on online Etsy fee calculator plus the printify estimates plus did you the math myself to make sure I understood it.
FYI - I can totally relate to the girl in your group whose husband asked if they can pay off the mortgage after her first sale. Each time I reach a new level my husband says " can we move yet?" we want a new place. But we are going on that trip to Italy that was one of the reasons I started this shop!! This June our first trip to Europe!!
I got my first Bestseller this week! It was an ornament that I listed mid November. I know Etsy doesn't make the info public so if anyone wants more insight about how long it takes to get a bestseller and many items you have to sell: I sold about 80 ornaments over the time span of a month - just shy of a month actually, like 25-27 days. It had a "Popular Now" badge for being in 20+ carts for about a week before turning to a Bestseller.
I really loved watching your process in real time. I’d love to see more. I’d also love watching you create a listing too, listening to your pointers when listing !!
SHAWNA! This is my second watch, I absorb everything you say! You've helped me since way before the membership but being in the group has literally changed my game. The future is bright! Thank you so much, for this video and every single video you put out. I love that pet store by the way, it looked HUGE. Hugs to you and Tucker!! x For anyone not in the membership, this really is the community of the right people in the journey, with so many helpful people answering questions where needed and Shawna actually does live videos, as well as recorded ones. It's just so much value!
I just wanted to chime in about the membership program. We benefit from this type of instruction and so much more all the time. It has made a huge difference in my 14-month-old shop! Joining the membership is by far the best decision I have made for my Etsy business since I started!

I love this and congrats on your success!!🎉 I’ve already lost money, no sales, feel stuck but no money to join programs. Do you feel joining was what really made a difference for you? And why? Pretty please…. Losing hope
This is so so so so valuable, Shawna!! Truly is! I am really hoping to join your community after Christmas!!! Thank you again for all you do for us! Hugs to Tucker!
Shawna! Shawna! Shawna! I love these videos!! It helps me understand the thought process behind creating designs, not just what to create, but actually the exact steps in creating the design itself. Thank you for your words of encouragement in every video! I’m at 97 sales, 140 items sold and continue to design and post almost every day! Hoping to get 100 sales by Christmas😊
Thank you for taking cuz into your deign process! This is gold ❤ I'm in the physical product and digital templates space but so much of this is transferable
Shawna awesome video!! I love how you used the picture of crew to create a straight line - good hack! I always use the grid which can be a pain. I wanted you to know I'm loving your Learn and Earn group and your trend reports! I found a new trend the other day where the design was a bit difficult, but the shirt started selling right away. I haven't had a chance to go thru everything in there because it's been hectic with Christmas but I'm going back and trying your Christmas challenge in other niches - like the Western style bringing that into other niches. I get tons of ideas from your videos!! Love them!
Shawna! Thanks for another great video! I love how creative your mind is with combining different trends to make a unique but proven design! I’m very inspired! Also a faster way to make each letter a different color on the word Queen is in photopea since it has a dropper and you can easily change each letter :)
Thanks for your videos! They are great also because lately you are inserting multitrack audio and in my opinion it is an added value! There are not many videos in my language that explain these things Grazie per i tuoi video! Sono fantastici anche perchè ultimamente stai inserendo l'audio multitraccia e secondo me è un valore aggiunto! Non son molti video nella mia lingua che spiegano queste cose
Nice video! I had that doubt how to color each letter from a word; is canva is easy but no clue why is not possible in kittl. I even reached the support and they sent me some useless advice. Thanks a lot !
Very informative..love it. Did you make these outline doodle letters yourself or bought from etsy. If you made yourself, we would want to learn this also.❤
I love ALL of your videos! You inspired me to start my Etsy shop! I have been working for almost a year with some slight progress. Recently I had a discouraging set back and was hoping it may be a topic for a future video of yours. Have you ever had a design that looked great on the computer screen and the Printify preview images but was disappointing in person. I tried the 5 images across (like your ghost capybara) with some graphics from Creative Fabrica. The design started to sell quickly, but then I got a three-star review. The customer photo showed a design that looked small and faded on the white sweatshirt (dpi was over 300). I was just as disappointed as the customer & pulled the design, but I had already sold 5. I have given two full refunds but can't make that the solution. How do you handle a situation like this? How do you know what looks great on the screen will look great in person? I would really appreciate any tips, tricks, guidelines, or recommendations you can share with us.
If you will double click on each Queen word you don’t have to erase you can just drag the guideline over to single out the letter you want. Much faster than erasing.
this is what all thesr people who are trying to sell.print on demand dont tell.you i had one order and printify is so overwhelmed everytime i try to contact them they say chat is u available and disconnecting the chat very frustrating
Hey shawna I been on etsy for 1 month and I have 20 sales, 4 of them are family and 16 are authentic customers. I noticed that I wouldn't get any orders unless I have my Etsy Ads on. I have 310 listings. Any advice on how to get direct traffic without ads? Thanks
Can anyone give advice on a customer stating they didn’t get their order in time. The print on demand provider obviously took care of all of that and the shipping estimate is out of my control. We don’t guarantee shipping times. What should I say!
I like Kittl to save designs in 300 px. But I find their templates and elements to be extremely limited. I usually work between Canva and Kittl. It's difficult to stay original because so many of these 'trends' are everywhere and in my opinion, boring. But that's just my taste.
