Losing clash to get sth isn’t something new in the game. Sloshing Ishmael apply rupture and Tremor on clash lose, Zwei Gregor gains shield in proportion to his Defense Level Up when losing clash with skill 1. Even in the Blade Lineage team itself, Sinclair gains atk power up when losing clash with skill 2
The new thing here is getting a whole second defense skill, that only triggers when losing a clash with a skill 3
