No worries! if I had more time I'd do the same! Usually my clients need quick results but if you have more time it can be better to take it slow and can be easier on the horse also! 😊
Took me 3-4 days to teach my horse, I taught her to lower her head and when tap on her hind end to bring her feet up, I had to hold her from leg to help her out and she ended up laying down
Seems teach horses is kinda like wiping butts…… everyone has done it but some still have stained underwear. Keep your nasty opinions to yourself. His horse seemed to enjoy what he was doing. If you didn’t see that you know nothing.

Quick question...when he lays down do you strugle to get him to stand up again and does he do it at any moment? I do showjumping and I'm worried he'll do it in the show ring...
Hi There, so far I've never had a horse that didn't want to get up easily. As far as your horse doing this at incorrect/inconvenient times, If your cue is clear and obvious and different from what your other cues are then you shouldn't have problems with it. The only thing that could happen is if he starts to see the lie down as a way to get out of work. If he tries to lie down when you don't want him to you can get him up quickly and do some work with him. Also do this at the beginning of the training and not at the end otherwise he may think when he lies down he will get a rest or get out of work. I hope this helps!
The horse tells you no. If we force them, even if they disagree, they will always look forward to the end of the training. Look forward to that the man leaves. This is not a happy horse. It's a horse he's used to not being listened to. translated from Czech
Hi Kristy... I don't disagree with your point but I can say that my horses are fine and they love me. They run to me when I say their name and they enjoy their time with me even if some lessons are in the beginning harder than others. Please don't post negative comments on other horse training accounts just because you can, especially when you are trying to learn from them.
You saying the horse told him no….. you must not speak horse because I clearly heard him say yes. You need to get you a horse for dummies book and study.
I don't understand why it would be useful to know how to make one horse sit down like a dog ! The only times I saw horses sit down was when they were living a very stressed, scary moment ! One so kind thoroughbred was having difficulties to breathe, a terrific suffocation crisis, after a rider tacked her too tight. She was sitting down on the barn 's floor. With rolling eyes in pain and panic. I' m not wanting to be impolite but to me, this position is not natural. Only making your horse who is your partner, looking like a clown in a circus. I dislike that a lot. I saw a woman who made her horse sit down due to her too strong, severe, dressage. This horse looked poor and stressed. 😢🐴👎🏻
Lol good job. It's a bit forceful but not bad. I've used this method before it was stressful for the horse. Something I won't do again. This one seems to take it more in stride.
In theory yes but horses that lie down tend to get up in a flash if something scares them or they feel threatened so it could turn into a dangerous situation quick. The best idea would be to use a high ramp or mounting block that allows a person to get on a calm standing horse with little effort.
Hi there, good question! If the horse can stretch and move comfortably he should be able to lie down. Just make sure he’s nice and warmed up before you start and take it slow 👍🏼😊
not new to horses, but found your videos today. i'm impressed with your work. i have made a guess on what famous trainer you may have learned from. (we weren't born knowing all this stuff. ha) i am curious as to where you are located; even a country and/or state. Inthe 'about' it may say Paraguay?
The question is whose method it is… is it from Gordon McKinley, Ian Francis, John Lyons, Monty Roberts or Chris Cox? Because Clinton Anderson just packaged and sold their genius 🫢
Hi Natasha, maybe so… a lot of what we ask horses to do is unnatural for them and this is a pretty unnatural way to get them to lie down. Honestly I wish I had filmed a different horse because she really didn’t want to lie down and most horses are much easier so it didn’t take as long/look as cruel. In the end though you can see how much faster she did it than the first time so I think because they learn it in 3-4 times with the rope it’s not too cruel as they move on quite quickly.
Very dangerous , you don't know what you are doing on the horse's mental. you don't need any rope..just a confident relationship, be gentle patient and be taught to get the skills to obtain WITH the calme will le your horse.
Well this is a great question! Would love it if you could message me on Instagram about this! I usually respond faster there. Just search for HorsePerfect
Ok well if the horse lies down on a trail ride he’s usually trying to get out of work and be lazy. Sometimes though he’s actually trying to roll in some sand that he found and he just wants to enjoy it. Before a horse lies down they usually hit the ground with their front legs and put their nose down to smell the ground. So as soon as you start to see those signs quickly ask your horse to walk in a circle or back up or anything that will distract him from wanting to lie down. Keep doing that every time and soon he won’t want to lie down any more.
It really happened to me on a comfortable slope. I dismounted elegantly. My fellow friend who was the owner started to yell at me. Because my mare had a new saddle and she wanted to... enjoy the field. Rolling her back. We put her on her feet again and all was fine. I was young, not enough experimented. 😅😅
ah not for me ... I'd rather take a month and teach the slow way

There are better ways to teach this,This technique puts A LOT of stress on the horse and this is how horses have been killed

its just a trick, learning to lay down and bow aren't useful either lol. Horses sit pretty naturally also@@veroniqueviaudFaspasie_1957
that horse dont understand what you want.
That’s because it’s the first time the horse is learning this and the horse being unsure is part of the learning process!

How long after starting can a saddle be put on & them be mounted?
I begin training the groundwork and on day 3 the saddle is on and day 8 is the first ride…
Would you recommend this also to teach an elder horse, which is used to learn tricks like bowing. Or does it need special flexibility in its body?
