I remember listening to this song as a teen, while lonely and depressed. Now I'm in my 30s.... still lonely and depressed.
I can't claim to know everything about how to escape depression, but I can speak from some experience.
I've found that focusing on helping others and making others feel better often makes You feel better as well. Another thing is to find something that you can spend time on to keep yourself occupied. Some examples are playing/practicing sports, weightlifting, or bodybuilding. These things give you something constant and consistent that you can always turn to when everything else gets tough/complicated. One last thing, find people to be by your side. Those people can be family or friends. And if you don't have friends, then go out and try to make some. Life isn't gonna get much better by you just sitting around waiting for your life to fix itself, take some action even if it takes you out of your comfort zone. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope that this helped you out :)
Is hard, am in the same situation. And in my case is really hard, I try to have in my mind all the time my family because I don’t want they suffer for my actions, but is hard, more when they see me alone in my bedroom for days and days… 🙏🏼 I wish nobody have this feelings with depress!!

I love this song because it does not necessarily have to be a romantic song. My daughter picked this as the father daughter song at her wedding and it has a special meaning to me. This is truly their relationship. Makes me think of them each time I hear it

I was workin at the meadowlands....World Cup Soccer and music events. Billy Joel and Sir Elton John were performing together. Pianos on stage back to back. They brought the house down. Agreed - as a child of the 1970s (born 1964) I think that is why I will always love the music of that era - the songs you often don't even know that you know till you find yourself singing the lyrics in response to a situation.... ( ex "I'll be right back baby" said to kitten leads to "Baby Come Back" by Player etc. Happens all day long to me! )

I came back home and frantically searched for it, couldn't rem the lyrics.. and then some weeks later, i stumbled upon it again, universe brought it to me. Since then it is one of my super favs.. ❤ maybe i will dance in this song on my daughter's wedding day (she will be 1 yr old tomorrow and im her mother) :)
