For my neurodivergent brain this album feels like a massage, like the best massage EVER. It helps me connection myself to my feelings and bulldozers through that mess my thoughts usually are. Masterpiece. And the conclusion is „time will sort it out, I’ll come back to myself, and it’s ok to be a mess“

The whole album is SO GOOD! The amount of times I got the goosebumps while listening to it.. The lyrics and the production go insane 🔥 It blew my expectations and they were already so high. I'm so proud of Namjoon
RPWP ate so bad. Literally the album of the year. It's incredible.
Namjoon said that he lived a dynamic live and that when he became friend with an artist, that person mentioned how contradicting his personality is, that's how the beginning of this whole project started.
Jimin mentioned that in Indigo he felt that Namjoon still had something else buried and that everything came out in this album. And he's so right! I totally feel that in RPWP the explosion of freedom, conflicted emotions and inner thoughts are more noticeable. Namjoon portrayed that contradictory self really well. It felt like a story line but at the same time full of ups and downs and unexpected changes.

In general, I've never liked this musical chaos of jazz... but here it has everything to do! I mean, the sensorial chaos reflects his internal chaos. And this is like painting with musical instruments! He's confirming again and again he's a genius 😊

in out of love 20:49 I think it could be more a social commentary to the military "you can f my body (obligatory service) but you can't f my mind" (i will always be an artist not a soldier)... maybe hahaha I love that people can interpret his songs in so many different ways, like you do when you look at a painting at a museum

In his talk with Jimin RM said he went through a really difficult 14 months. This album comes from that. There was many things I picked from this. Hes very angry about the way the government tried to use him, turning him into a diplomat they could use. RM is from the underground, his music often social commentary. He's a rebel and it was killing him. He's said I will distance myself from BTS for a bit so my rebellion doesn't affect them. Then I will take the brakes off completely and see what happens. Who am I when I am not trying to be everything to everyone. I am sure the intention is you show that they cannot use him. He's a grenade with the pin out. Also from stuff he said in an answer in a live talking to fans about him making this music which he considers" better than Indigo". The fan said you look hearbroken. He answered that maybe he could be heartbroken a little bit... he'd been dealing with these shits for the last 10 years. That suggests he knew about this Min Hee Jin smear campaign that was about to hit the papers. So if there was the failure of a personal relationship in that mix no wonder he suffered. As a result we get the best thing to hit the music industry in decades. This album is going to be called seminal in the future. Ordered it for my carefully curated collection. I called INDIGO a future cult classic. He's done it again. The only bit that really worried me was where he said his friendship with San Yawn had his mother really worried??? His collab with BALMING TIGER the brilliant SEXY NUKIM introduced them. Part of RM is very innocent according to Jimin. Hmmm. For me its the only line in the album jarred. When you asvrich and successful as RM there are always those seeking to use you.

Some of the actors who played the different versions of Namjoon in the LOST! MV mentioned the personas they played. So basically there's Overconfident, Fearful, Innocent/Childlike and Jaded. It's really cool.

The line about “your words and face don’t kill me” in Heaven gave me a strong sense of “joke’s on you, you no longer have a hold on me/my emotions”. This person/people had gotten used to toying with him and eliciting an involuntary response, maybe by playing into his insecurities and/or by showing up/reaching out unexpectedly but he’s now at a place where he’s not going to let them get under his skin anymore. It’s not easy to get past the point where merely catching a glimpse of someone who hurt you (personally or professionally) immediately changes your mood, much less actively interacting with them. I’m happy he managed it. Such a person purposely crossing your path for whatever reason(s) gets old FAST.

This reminds me so much from his very first mixtape “RM” if you have time, it would be great for you to see his very first mixtape as well it is a lot more aggressive and angry than this because it is an album where after he got into bts, people looked down at him to become an kpop idol when he was an underground rapper same with bts suga and even his coworkers he rap with would look down at him so he was very angry and aggressive it is just so nice to see how he grow

I have listened to many interpretations of Namjoon’s RPWP on TH-cam since the album dropped 1 weeks ago and I like yours best 💜. Your insights make a lot of sense especially when you said that the music being so disjointed throughout the album is also a symbol of him being lost, I never thought of it like that… I simply love that all of us are connecting through his music and trying to interpret it. I have been an admirer of Namjoon for a few years now and through him I also got to know BTS but his solo work is what speaks to my heart and soul the most. Like him I like art and books and I am a deep thinker (which is not always a good thing) but I am in no way as smart as him lol. I am very sad to know that he has struggled so much, especially last year, but at the same time I am so happy that he was able to spill his guts in this album so to speak and I hope he is feeling much better now. Yes, he will lose some “fans” because of it but he will gain others who appreciate him for who he is. I hope that in the future he will never have to compromise who he is again and that we will be able to listen to his work for many many many years to come.

I like your interpretation of the songs and your interpretation of lost is accurate. I think this album is too special for him cause he was able to be honest with himself and with his audience. And what makes me happy is that I think he achieved the peace he was looking for. I love this album from head to toe, from the production, the lyrics, everything. As one who has been through the most devastating breakup and breakdown ever, every song on this album speaks to me of heartbreak, a feeling of being thrown in the trash by the one person you truly loved, and after the tears have finally subsided through the years of processing why that specific person hurt you, you begin to heal, but the memories keep resurfacing, and you finally realize that the person who told you they'd love you forever had deliberately lied to you. Then you start questioning your whole life, every life choice... what if you had chosen a different path, loved a different person, was it the biggest mistake you ever made? You know you have to find a way through, find yourself again, find who you used to be and who you are now, find a way to forgive, although you will never forget because it was true love on your part, and that person is still in your life, still around you, and you have to stay in control of your feelings, never letting them show, because if you do, everyone will know, so you have to find a way to pretend that you're okay, that everything's okay, all while hoping beyond hope that the person will come back and say that they made a mistake, that they have realized that they truly do love you, but you know in your heart that's never going to happen, and eventually you come to the understanding that it's not really in your hands... only time can work it out. I feel in my heart that this is a love story, HIS love story... his GREATEST love story yet, in this life, although there may be a greater one eventually, and I truly hope that for him. But, then again, I'm probably just reading my own devastating love story into this because these songs speak so very synchronistically to my own broken dreams of the future. 🤷‍♀️ Well, THAT was deep, wasn't it? At the very least, it was TMI. Sorry for writing a book! 😂😉😘

Love your voice so much, waiting on that album🤌🏻
Your interpretation of how "Right Place Wrong Person" culminates in "Around the World in a Day" reminds me of something Namjoon said YEARS ago on a vlog. He said he thinks maybe the meaning of life is to be lost. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw that he was going to have a song titled "Lost!". I don't know if he remembers saying that but it seems he's lived through a lot of shit since then and came out the other side with the same conclusion. Love him so much 😭

This was such a great reaction/review! I haven't seen anyone directly try to break down the lyrics through the album before, and I haven't even bothered trying to do so even with like a thousand listens of the album in my car, but I really appreciate you taking the time to try and dissect the narrative here.
I know RM's been around (I mean he's already 30 this year) and he's probably making this album with a lot more personal significance than any of us can ever know, but narrative / concept albums like these which follow a certain progression of thoughts in someone's head is just so cool.
"Fuck it, I can make it work. I know they're the one, we were just in the wrong place, I can make it right and I can get them back."
    >>> "Fine. I can't make it work. It wasn't going to work anyways. It's been too hard. In fact, this part of my life has been so hard. I've gotta throw everything that's made it so hard for me away: the naysayers, the haters, the freeloaders, the people who doubt me, and the people who've left me. Fuck them all, I'll do what I want, they can't control me, even if I'm RM, even if I'm an idol, a celebrity, an artist, the leader of BTS - I've got a lot of sides to me, and I wanna show them all as I please, even those times when I'm lost and frustrated and out of love".
    >>> "I guess I don't have to pay too much of my mind to these things. Things happen, things don't go my way, I may want certain things still but I won't lose my mind if I can't get them: I can simply be me and 'do me' for myself - I'm such at peace that I don't even have to care much about showering nor tell what time it is. I'm fine with how it now is"
Also, hope ice_shard2364 in chat found where they could buy a copy of the album lol.

WOWZA!!!! Okay - so on the mv, at 1:45, (Your video time-stamp: 59.49 ) looking at the elevator floor-buttons, there is an arrow pointing at "44" with a handwritten note saying Right Person, Wrong Place.. Then at 1:46, it shows a reflection in RM's pupil of 101 and next to it, "Nowhere." If you look closely to his eyeball, it' shows a reaction in "IL u" and a moon and the earth. It's very subliminal. Also, the other numbers on the the buttons seem to indicate something. One of then is: " 12521222." And just who goes from 14 to 30!?! Also, could the pattern of the elevator buttons be in Braille, like the crossword on Jin's Astronaut? Anyone have an thoughts? Also, 73 has a smiling face, and right below is number 11, which looks like the moon. Interesting! And at 1:52 it shows a single floating man reflection. Then they all look at the camera above them in the elevator. Lots of messages in the elevator. And now, for me, "Dump it on the ground, throw it in the trunk." makes sense to me. Forget it, lesson learned- let's move one. Cool - RM is so brilliant and loves it when we look beyond and find his true self. I know this is confusing. Just slow down the video speed and watch yourself.

I wanted to watch your analysis since it came out, but I needed to let this album simmer in my brain for a while :) Loved this! I have a few random thoughts. Could RM have personified music/music industry/haters being his significant other? The first time I heard the phrase, "pain divine," in "Come Back to Me," I linked it to his poetry/music/artistry. I can't imagine sharing a piece of yourself to the world is pain free. Thank you again 💜

This album was an introduction to RM for me. I did not hold BTS in high regard, mostly because I've only heard butter and dynamite before, which in my opinion aren't that great. However, my interest was caught when I saw Little Simz on the track list. I'm glad I let my curiosity win because this album is great. It's cool that these guys do have the ambition to go beyond generic radio hits and succeed at it.

The 3 English tracks were basically songs they made to cheer people up. Their discography is actually pretty diverse.

    • @7Flowers1Dream
      @7Flowers1Dream 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

I would suggest you give BTS’ non-English tracks a chance. They have done and/or blended a variety of genres and themes in their discography and the production is very high quality. The lyrics are usually layered in meaning and deeper (often darker) than the music suggests, because they draw inspiration from literature, art, psychology, science, social issues, etc as well as their own experiences. Each of the seven group members has a distinct musical taste/sensibility so their combined musical influences are very wide. Even then, they manage to surprise us with different sides of themselves. RM, Agust D (Suga within BTS) and J-Hope are the group’s rappers and heavily lean hip hop as soloists. Of the four vocalists, Jimin and Jungkook lean pop/retro pop, V leans toward sultry soul/jazz and we are waiting to see what Jin will come up with when he returns from enlistment in a few days. His pre-enlistment single was pop/rock and he has developed a deep bond with Chris Martin & Coldplay.

"If you feel you're going to crash accelerate harder" is one of Yoongi's lines in Nevermind! Clearly joon liked it enough to use it in Groin which is really cool. It's one of my favorite lines that Yoongi has written.

Please help me with this!! I love the album, the music, his creation, RM in general, i just love him… BUT I need help! I liked the idea that they were just loving creatures and the fact that he writes about so much pain and not loving what he was doing makes me think there is no Santa… i am sad he was so unconfortable and with so much pain with the life that was making me so happy! So, is it all fake? 😰Any comments, 😢?

Hi Alex🙋🏼Amber here! I always look forward to your videos, especially your Tay's reactions; you just nail the full narrative every time!
I'm so sad to hear about your lost pup, what a living nightmare, I'm so sorry... my good eternally optimistic thoughts are with you, Phil, and Sky/e?🐾 We have five rescues, 3 cats & 2 pups that I would be devastated to lose... I even cry sometimes just thinking about them getting older & crossing the rainbow bridge🌈 it feels soul crushing! Know that you've done everything you can, so give yourself some grace & don't beat yourself up!!
I also strongly relate to the doubles pickle ball tournament of thoughts always bouncing around in your head... same, girl, same!! 😢
I just turned 48 and wasn't diagnosed with any mental health issues until I was 43... SEVERE C-PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety and depression... followed by Bipolar 1 two years ago, and possibly BPD (it's listed but not sure it's correct 🤔). Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you are not alone, and if you ever need a random ear, I'm a great vent... seriously, I'm here anytime!!
    Peace☆Hugs☆Love xo 🤗 ~a ✨️🫶🏻🎶💗💃🏼✌🏻
