In this wild camping adventure I make a tent with a ground sheet out of a 4.5x3 metre tarp and bring you along to learn how to do it too. Once my sleeping arrangements are made, myself and Steve prepare our spit roast pork for a midnight meal in the woods.

The Old Hippie eye in me couldn't stop noticing that camo pattern on the tent. I'm thinking ummm... curtains and perhaps a nice billowy skirt if I could get it in cotton🤔🥰
When it comes to camping, tho, I'm all business and Josh has it all figured out. He is a lot of fun to watch👍👍🌻🐝
Haha I like it! You should make it ha. ☮️✌🏻️Peace
It's a very nice setting. I recently threw away heavy and large equipment and started minimalist camping. I realized that my luggage was lighter and camping was more enjoyable. I keep my backpack under 6kg. Thank you for the good video.
Must My bag alone is 2.6 kg, and thats when it's empty.
My knife is a Pound. My saw is half a pound. Not sure how heavy it is when I've got everything I need in my bag. I use to carry a good 50-60lbs on my back and do multiple 1 mile Portage in a day. I'd about 4-5 Portage in a day. 30kg by canoe. I'm going out for 10 days at a time though.
I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
I should try and shed a few pounds if I can though.
I'm absolutely dying on these postage trails.
My uncle packs 80-100lb food bags.
The Punching bag style mil bags.
I'm not going with him again. Lol
I'm very impressed with that tarp shelter. I'm equally impressed with that huge hunk of pork. Great camp, Josh, as usual. Thanks for letting us go camping with you.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the adventure. See you for another one soon!🔥

Hey buddy do you mean the ridge tent? I need to water proof mine as it leaked during the night but I'm sure it will be great once sorted.
Cheers pal 👍
Found your video through Kent survival, good job 💯
Welcome buddy! Do you mean Simon a bloke in the woods? As I camped with him last year. 😁
@@campingwithjosh oh yeah, sorry, however wishing him good health and you are all awesome..
@@sunilkumard.n9684 Thank you kindly! Thank you for your support
I think Simon and Andy from Kent survival are good buddies too. Good to see Simon back this week after a few months break. Keep up the good work fellas, I think you’re all great! 🏕️🔥🍖🍻
What kind of bag/backpack you got there!?
This is a burgen by go army. Links in description 😁
As a rule of thumb if not blistering the back of your hand its about close as needs to be mate.
If what's not blistering the back of your hand?
@@campingwithjosh well correct…
Put your hand between the fire to one side and the pork beef, whatever intend on cooking it’s too hot to hold your hand there then it’s too close to the fire not saying I am 100% correct or an aficionado as I am sure someone will have an opinion that is better than mine just what I’ve always worked to and it is always worked for me just passing on my inferior wisdom😃😃😃
@@tourcheverybridge oh I get you know! Cheers for the tip 😁🤙🏻
@@campingwithjosh if you ever down here in Cornwall give us a shout have some interesting places to do a camp
I dont think i can get away with a tarp shelter where i live.
We have too many bugs and deer mice.
Haha possibly. Give it a go!😜
@@campingwithjosh And if it doesn't work I'm screwed and I'm going to get eaten alive! Unless I set up a tent right beside the tarp just incase as an emergency shelter. Lol
I’m not trying to be mean hear but is that not just rendering half of your tarp knackered for the future should you ever want a different set up.
Not a mean at all it's all about honesty and asking questions when needed.😁 I have had the tarp out since and there isn't any issues still as strong as ever. They are made to last and be robust. Tarps are made to be altured to different shapes. Well the good ones that is lol.
@@campingwithjosh knowing my luck I’d end up putting holes in it haha.
@@gray1960s oh right I see now. That’s what I was worried about as my luck the tarp would get holes in lol.
Haha well if you clear the floor from sticks etc I'm sure you'll be fine 😁
Thanks for taking us along Josh!
Any time!😁
