I agree that Astro’s We Still (Be With U) hit me differently. I am more emotional compared to listening to the original version. While watching the DDOCA too, it reminded me what jinjin said during the Kcontact All Access Behind the Scene about when they were performing We Still as their final song and what he’s feeling when he saw some of Aroha’s faces (then I became more emotional) Overall, despite on how many times I listen to this song, it will make me emotional.
jinyoung likes jimin and learns from him a lot so the reason of their dance looks like jimin may be because jinyoung taught them. seunghun has ever told that jinyoung is like their dance teacher. jinyoung has participated to choreograph for some parts of cix's songs(Movie Star, Numb, Like it that way, My New World). jinyoung hasn't learned dance before he joined c9 and he just learned dance and singing in 10 months then joined pd101 program. his improvement is so fast, i really proud of him.
CIX sang also the Spring Day during their fanmeeting before their comeback. After Jinyoung's finally healed. As far as I remember, they chose this song to express how much they miss FIXs. That's pobably the reason why they have different interpretation. Also thanks for reacting to Astro! I just fell for them last year and I love them so much🥺❤

Btw, the thing about what you said regarding their emotion i take that as a compliment because CIX dedicate this cover to their fans becuase they miss them so much and they even cried during their fanmeet. Ngl, i teared up so hard when they performed this because its been almost a year since their last comeback before jungle. I think it was def a deliberate choice on CIX's part to portray spring day as a very sad song becuase i think thats just how they felt when they couldnt meet their fans.

CIX is coming back on February🥳 FYI, Jinyoung learned the MMMH choreo for a really short time. He showed us some of its process during his vlive on new year where he only learned it for 10~20mins for its chorus and even by then, he alr moved very similarly to the way Kai does. So I agree with you, I guess he really does have an eye to catch the details on covers. For Spring Day, since you mentioned how Jimin has a contemporary background, Jinyoung doesn't have a dance bg but he does learn modern dance during his free time too! I also do agree with you on the vocal part, even in their fanmeeting performance of the same song their voices still didn't seem to fit well with spring day. It's a pity bc I know how great of vocalists they are (you should check out their vocal covers too on twitter they sound reaaally good). p.s. please react to their rewind and move my body dance practices too when you have time for it💙
