@@wildwilburr7432 Ignore him, he's deranged. Legion had some massive flaws, but overall was one of the best retail expansions ever made. An almost complete redemption from WoD and was so good, it allowed them to float through the travesty that was BFA.

till this day i remember in this expansion alone i earned "Legendary Pet Brawler" achievement, which is to Win 5000 PvP pet battles, i completed everything els in the game and all i was doing pet battles, and buying low level pets and reselling them after leveling them up to 25, it was great gold making at that time, good old days..
I levelled every class and my first characters ever on alliance as a long time horde only player. WoD made us do terrible things.
Imagine they do WoD classic+... a version of WoD where they add all the cut content: Shattrat raid, Farahlon, the Orgrim Doomhammer cut storyline, Karabor and the Ogre Citadel as the actual player hubs instead of Ashram, the Ogre continent, the Zangar sea World Boss and quests
It would be ridiculous if it got to that point, but man I would love to see it. WoD was the side of Warcraft story and art that I love the game for. I miss them days.

Well WOD looked promising at the start, then you got into garrison buildings and missions that just made everyone quit very fast.
If you add all the cut content, you still need to remove garrisons. I think that would make WOD decent.

WoD to this day had best lvling ever. Some of the best raids. Made like 10 alts in WoD raided hfc hc on whatever i felt like that day. Peak gameplay.

For me it depends how they'd do WoD. If blizzard do wod classic as a copy paste of the original, then I won't play. I'll probably play War within or whatever's retail at that point. Or Classic Era for that matter. For a potential WoD classic to be successful, there are a few steps that are needed.
Step 1. Scale back the convenience of the Garrisons. Make 'em purely cosmetic. Like, keep the room where you had archeology artifacts on display, keep the trophy spots, but delete all the profession buildings, delete the herb garden, delete the mine, maybe even delete the fishing pond, scale back the mission table. In OG WoD, you could get raid gear from the mission table. That's too convenient. So that's the obvious step out of the way. WoD was way too convenient for it's own good, so the convenience needs to be stripped back.
Step 2. Fill in the blank spots. WoD was a blizzard experiment of doing 1 year expansions, and as a result, more than half the expansion was cut and released as an unfinished product. The story got rushed as it completely skipped the 2nd act. We got a brilliant 1st act, and a limp 3rd act. Though I'd argue that the 3rd act felt limp cause there was no meat from any 2nd act to make the story have a satisfying conclusion. Do the shattrath raid, do farulon, do the ogre continent. And of course give us the capitals we were supposed to have. Karabor and the blade spire thingy the horde was supposed to have. Ashran was supposed to be a pvp island, instead Ashran became 2 rushed capital cities with a battleground between 'em.
Step 3. Just have flying be something you buy at lvl 100 or something, like in pandaria, northrend and outland. Don't do that pathfinder achievement bullshit.
WoD had so much potential to be the best expansion ever created. Could've been better than wrath. But it got handicapped by experimentation. Some great content in that expansion of the little it had. And that got ignored cause everyone sat in their garrisons playing AFK arena.
Imagine playin Shadowlands Classic in 2032... Amazing
I'd say 2029, few of the expansions from now on have enough content for more than an year of gameplay, and they are balanced out by the shorter ones like WoD.
I don’t think I’ll play, but if I did, I could relive the glory days of earning 35 anima from end game content - less than 1 percent of the amount needed for a 5000 anima mount
Usually I have no love for time travel plots but going back to see Draenor before it was destroyed? Great potential, completely squandered

I remember when blizz was hyping wod to be the best xpac ever and until after a few months playing it and right after the tanaan jungle patch it was probably the worst one I ever played. Classic, TBC, Wrath, and MOP will always have a place in my heart for the content they had.

@@chaoshunting5659 It was probably my favorite cinematic. My GM and I would talk for hours about it over on vent on how cool it was. All the content went into player housing IMO was worthless. They should've done more to incentivize people to interact with other players in the world. Plus blizz initially planned to keep draenor no flying zone until a bunch of people complained which also ruined it for me too. I feel the inconveniences of classic is what honestly made it such a good game. Player housing while a cool concept it was turned WOW into a facebook game like farmville. There were plans for people to go to the zangar sea, isle of faralon(netherstorm before it got wrecked), and the ogre continent. Sucks really, I really liked new nagrand even more than the TBC one even because you can tell the devs put a lot of work into it and really incorporated a lot of the lore from the books that and shadowmoon valley. They even said you can pick what zone for your garrison but they didn't do it. Which is why I hated it so much because Horde got done dirty by being put in the boring area of frostfire ridge.
The few dungeons and raids it had were good. The profession system where you can start on new content professions straight away was good as well. Everything else, not so much.

@@TheLionAndTheLamb777 they added the ability to level your professions to max easily in mop actually. Wod just made it easier by you going to your garrison for mining and herb rather than going out in the open world.
Can't wait to have a garrison menu inside the garrison menu where you can play Classic Cataclysm while you play Classic WoD but it's actually inside a drop-down menu from Classic Shadowlands so you can have all your content in one place and feel good about life again.
I will not play WoD classic as I didn't played the other classic versions, but boy, I enjoyed WoD at most. I loved each zone. Quests, DGs, Raids. The last patch was a let down, and lack of content like Karabor Temple and that Ogre Fortress, but I liked the exp. I miss that atmosphere. The last expansion designed to walk around and not fly. For me, gold.
I had great fun in WoD tbh. Mythics were great to do and to hope for the highest titanforged upgrade, hanging around in your own personal garrison, hunting treasures, even Tanaan Jungle was fun to do.
WoD is my favorite expansion. Glad stance Warrior is the best Dps spec of ALL Time! The PvP is the best, Love the zones and Ashran. WPvP was amazing! Honestly WoD would be considered one of WoW best expansions if it got the content of Legion. I can't wait to play Glad stance again nothing even compares.

also the questing was actually one of the best imo, the areas looked gorgeous and lots of cool storylines. i think the biggest issue with wod was the content drought and the cut raid(s)
Say what you want about WoD but it still to this day has the best leveling experience and raids for one expansion.
Even the best expansions like MoP and Legion had some real stinkers.
Worst part about WoD was the mass amount of content being cut out that we were promised and as mentioned content draught
WoD 2v2 Arena was actually fun.
My friends and I used to play "Garrison Runner", whoever made the most laps around their garrison walkway in 5 minutes was the winner.
Still sad to think about what could have been. The expansion had big potential and the raids (especially Blackrock Foundry) were indeed great.
I don't care what they tell you in school, my grandmother told me WoD is the best expansion.
I hate the fact that instead of being a random adventurer the player character became the UBER SLAYER, SLAYER OF GODS. But as someone who mainly does PVP i did enjoy WOD quite a lot. The zones are pretty and the class gameplay was fun.
At that point your character has been saving azeroth for about a decade. In what world would someone like that not be super important? That's like wondering why thrall or khadgar didn't remain random adventurers

The cut raidtier and disasterous patchrate is what made WoD truly horrific (other than Garrison annihilating the economy), the raids and dungeons were S tier.
Leveling experience and PvE content were the best ever.
As amazing as Legion was, the level scaling completely ruined the leveling experience.

I'd love a WoD classic tbh. WoD was the xpac that got me back into WoW all those years ago.
WoD did have the best expansion leveling(on par with SL), and some of the best dungeons and raids to date. The class design is also great, big improvement over MoP, but not quite as good as Cata.
I'm also pretty stoked to play Outlaw Rogue instead of Combat Rogue.
I mean, who thought it was a good idea to call a spec "combat". Any fight in this game is a combat.

I think those animations are from Legion, not WoD, though the updated character models are form WoD.
Melee animations were upgraded in legion, WOD is when they upgraded the races models.

small minority but I loved WoD. was one of my favorite. being lvl 100 just felt right and as a Ret Pally, we were AOE proc Gods with a capital G!!! Ashran pvp was fun for a while too.

The problem with WoD wasn’t that it was bad, it was and is the people that thought and spent any amount of time in their garrisons. I never lvl’d my garrison past lvl 1 and still was able to beat every raid tier in the expansion.
unironically, i would play that. I did not experience WoD on retail, and everytime i quit wow, it was because of people, not boredom with content
it's sad but the more I play retail and deal with current blizzard the more I do actually miss aspects of WoD.

Not going to lie, they shouldn't do this but they SHOULD do Warlords: Remix. It worked really well with Pandaria, and Warlords despite missing an entire Tier still had some of the best raids we've ever seen. It screams fun if under the format Remix has introduced - and honestly I miss some things from Warlords of Draneor like Gladiator Stance. Was it balanced, No. Was it fun? Hell yeah.
The Infinite Bazaar can literally be your Garrison and they can remove all the bad lore there and table and put all the Bronze (hopefully they make it thematic and call it like Trueiron Coins or something) vendors there.
At this point to get more people into the new modes they are trying, why not also do a new THING too? Imagine if they announced it's in Remix format but there actually is a Shattrath raid finally. Seems very low effort to come up with like 10 new bosses for a seasonal realm...

They need to make all the expansions into separate games. Kinda like how chromie teleports you to different expansions. I feel like that would be awesome so you don’t need to level to those expansions.

Yeah ideally I'd love to just be able to play whatever xpac I'm feeling at a given time. One night can be raid night with my wrath guild, maybe other night I feel like running Legion m+ with my friends. Maybe I'd even actually want to hop on wod at some point and see how it actually is compared to what I remember. I know they'll never do it but I can dream...

To be fair, WoD leveling experience was great, as well as PvE content. It's a shame the expansion overall was undercooked, and lasted an eternity
