I changed mine yesterday...after having watched your helpful video, the whole job took mere minutes. This mod makes a substantial difference in the quality of light available when backing up at night. I did it on my previous vehicle a couple years ago and didn't hesitate for a moment to do the same on my new Ascent. Thanks again for all you do!
Thank you for this helpful video. As an aside, after you put in the new bulb, I think you forgot to place the bulb wire back into the plastic in which it was "captured" before you removed it, to give yourself more "slack". Probably not a big deal.
I did the door puddle lights. I'll do a vid soon. I'm doing the interior as well, when it gets warmer. And, I am putting in a proper hatch light soon. Videos for all of that... hopefully with less re-filming needed, lol!
@@SubaruAmbassadorRobert Thanks for your reply. I look forward to viewing those upcoming videos as well! I am also on your AscentForums.com, and appreciate the information and knowledge shared there also.
Hi Robert...Found the Diode Dynamics 921 XP50 bulbs on Amazon but of various types. The prices vary from $40 to $90 per pair and some have built in lenses, not sure which ones you used or which ones you would recommend ? Thanks in advance.
Hi John, they should all be the same - it's just a matter of getting a legit set and not a fake knock-off. I think I bought mine for about $90 direct from DD.
Thank you for the video. Helped me change my bulb.
Glad it helped

Oops, I ended up cutting that out of the video when I re filmed part. Good catch.
@@SubaruAmbassadorRobert Also, have you changed any of your other bulbs & have you made any videos of those replacements? Thank you.

Hi Robert, did you ever change your turn signals?
Hey! So sorry it took so long for me to see this. No, they're stock.
Hi Robert, Could you add the Diode Dynamics bulb type that you used into the description? Thanks for the video!
I caught it now. I couldn't hear it. 921 XP50
Will do. Next time I will be wearing my mic. Sorry about that.
@@SubaruAmbassadorRobert no need to apologize. I appreciate the video.
Would you please show how to open the touch panel for outback?

Why?
You forgot to put the wire back in the clip!
Not really. I re-filmed that section a few times, which is why there's a few cuts, so, I guess on video I did, but in real life I didn't. ;-)
