I hate to burst your bubble but Primanti Brothers sandwiches are served on Italian bread, not sour dough bread. I know! I've been there many times and my favorite is the Angus Roast Beef sandwich!
You are right, you can make a very decent copy but NOTHING compares to Primantis (I grew up in Pgh so, I was blessed to have it on rare occasion). Also, there was a crazy sub shop in the outskirts that still is the best sub I have ever had. Pgh rocks with old school sandwich places.
I've been going to the original Primanti Bros.in the Strip since 66' . Much happened there . Beats Philly cheese steak any day..If it's busy , I order a cheese steak w/onions/tomato/hot sauce and fried egg , dill pickle on side or pastrami , corned beef or roast beef .. I'm a Steelers fan but always liked the G. B. Packer's and your people .
@@rexcolon5258 Primanti sand.$9.00 avg. ,Geno $12 avg. , Pete $14.50 . Yeah , price gouging.. Last summer Philly locals said," Stay away bad food, bad area ☠. Which 1 is less worse , Pete or Geno ? I want to punish myself in Philly again .
Just don't ask to leave out the tomatoes at Primanti Bros. because it won't happen. They will tell you it's not a Primanti Bros. sandwich without the tomatoes.
@@derwoodff64 Did you go to the original location. Toni gave a guy hell about leaving off the tomatoes. Now they may have known each other and was a running joke between them but she looked like it wasn't a joke.

You are definitely correct! Realized my error when I went back again! I do prefer sour dough, so it worked out

A below average philly cheesesteak is better than a primanti sandwich. It's just slaw and fries, Soyboy. Should be on rippoff reports.

Great job only thing is your suppose to use Italian Bread not sourdough
Sweet. Love this !!!!! Good job
Missing a shot of dijon mustard and celery seed in the slaw bubba👍🏻
I have never had one but it looks great
One of the best sandwiches I've ever had!
it's on Italian bread, not sourdough.
Thanks for the call out! I've went back since making this video and realized I botched that detail. I'm glad you corrected it.
Good job - From a Yinzer!
Thank you! I appreciate it. Definitely not as good as the real deal. I'm heading back to Pittsburgh soon - best believe I'm stopping at Primanti Bros!
TheGreenBayGuy I don’t live in the burgh anymore. I definitely miss it.

No
Ha! They let me last time. I plan to do it again when I go next month.
@@TheGreenBayGuy at what location
@@garyg4139 I've never had a problem asking for no tomato

Don’t think we have that cheese stuff you used would you recommend a different one?
You don't have provolone? If so, maybe swiss?
TheGreenBayGuy don’t think so aye, did a google and our to biggest supermarkets are out of stock online
EVERY store or deli sells provolone
It's missing Frank's.
Looks awesome, not a fan of coleslaw though 🤮!
I'm not of most coleslaw, I enjoy vinegar coleslaw though
Fry/slaw sandwich.... Not much else.... Total ripoff.
Go eat some tofu then.
@@j.richards2346 , seems primanti's would add tofu for you, soyboy, there is hardly any meat.
