I still remember seeing this film in Marlton, NJ. My then girlfriend from college (now wife) lived in South Jersey> I drove up to spend the weekend with her and her family. I came directly from my summer engineering internship in Baltimore. We met up, watched the movie, then had a great dinner afterwords. When the music started I felt like I was 8 years old again, watching one of the original Christopher Reeve/Richard Donner films, with John Williams krypton fanfare and then transitioning into the single bass notes of the opening theme. Superman Returns (2006) is drastically underrated and deserved a sequel for the Routh/Spacey Superman/Luthor duo.
When I went to see this, I wondered if they'd use the John Williams theme.......and then it started...1:30....and I was 6 years old again, watching the late, great Christopher Reeve, the greatest movie Superman of all........I actually stood up and CONDUCTED the theme.

Some people didn't like Brandon Routh when he was Superman, but they absolutely LOVE him as Atom in Legends of Tomorrow. Sometimes some roles may be a better fit and sticks with you.

Of coarse again this would make the car look a lot different from the original giving it from its design more aero/gyro/self auto morphing dynamics which Kit being advanced as it is do this for and hell why not, even Kit telling Michael probably being arrogant that we should not firing up the two small LearJet 35 engines on and let my 48 cylinder hell which is already packing with one jet and this engine alone over 3000 horsepower at least till we've reached till I've scanned for 20 miles ahead for road hazards and traffic to simulate over 5 million possible dangers or crashes do to sudden traffic movement or domino effects. And im not talking about just an okay money grabber for fans to still be left slightly disappointed. But to think about it in Cinema racing history that's not from Star Wars(Not saying that the Pod Racing wasn't) if this kind of idea worked, it would the BatMobile look and sound like a big souped Black Prius. But like my childish mind, a kid can dream

Without Williams, there would be no Ottman. His adaptation of Williams original score is beautiful. To say Ottman's score is better is meaningless considering he didn't write it.

Possible powerful theme from Superman 5-Superman Returns (2006) John ottman related to the John Williams March theme from Superman 1-the movie (1978,2001,2006) and the explosive exploded explosion of krypton is the same and exact same ones from smallville season 07 episode 18-apocalypse (2007,2008) and don't understand why they used a different version in Superman 5 from nearly 15 years back from this summer on June 30th, 2019 and it's phenomenal and Superman is 81 years old from the same age as Christopher Lloyd (10/22/38) and mine is 10/21/79 and Brandon Routh is 10/09/79 cool huh thanks.

I like Willams so I can understand the admiration for his original take on Superman. However, I was more drawn to Zimmer's work overall for Man of Steel. Both are greats in their own respect, so whichever score you prefer is good ultimately.

But this music to me is the embodiment of Superman and what he's supposed to be. John Ottman killed it. Hans gave us a lot of fast paste action music which is cool. But, it just doesn't feel as inspirational.

Hans' Superman wasn't as good as his Batman, for that matter. It only served to make the fight scenes even more boring. I don't mind Superman getting into a cosmic fistfight, but Williams' score emphasizes his hopefulness and optimism needed to fight the good fight.
