Kirby Pábalan-Táyag Aráullo is a renowned Filipino Culture Bearer and currently the National Coordinator for Culture and Heritage for NAFCON (National Alliance for Filipino Concerns). He is a Dátû and Lakan by blood, and an Activist at heart. Kirby is a direct descendant of the last Paramount Kings of Luzon (of both Lakandúlâ of Tondo and Rája Matandá of Maynílâ), and of the anti-colonial revolutionary Katipuneros and World War II Guerilyeras who fought for the liberation of the Philippines from colonialism. His upbringing exposed him to the contradicting worlds of traditional politics and grassroots activism.
With a keen interest in varying fields (such as history, government, and human rights) and a strong commitment to serve the community, Kirby studied in some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, such as the University of California, Davis, Harvard University, and Université catholique de Louvain. Kirby is also the Co-Founder of the Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies at UC Davis and author of the groundbreaking book “Black Lives & Brown Freedom: Untold Histories of War, Solidarity, & Genocide.” He is a visiting professor at various colleges in the Philippines and a research fellow with Ágúman Sínúpan Singsing, an institute for indigenous advocacy and the study of Kapampángan language, history, and culture. Kirby is also well-known for his educationally engaging TH-cam channel where you can find videos about history, culture, and everything in between!
Dátû Kirby is an educator who is well-rooted in his culture and passionate about his colorful heritage (Kapampángan, Tagálog, Indigenous Áytá, Pangasinan, and Spanish-Basque-Portuguese Mestizo); he strives to decolonize Philippine history and democratize Ethnic Studies through knowledge and creativity.

but sir, speaking about the economic situation in the Solomon Islands, most natives prefer a simple life and some don't know how to use their resources, and there are a lot of Solomon Islanders who also benefited from the exploitation of their resources and got rich in Honiara.

Reminds me of one of the channels from my country that used to discuss this from 2/3 years ago. And I only think in this form of conclusion that 'The Land of Ophir' is the most reasonable, indeed originating from SEA (for countries it is still a hypothesis) because even King Solomon has visited any country (other than his place of origin) including SEA 🤔. But thx for your information

Midian is Saudi. And why would Solomon send SHIPS to go to either of those places when you can simply go by land.(?) You need to read the Bible and use common sense.

Ptolemy named the Peninsula as the Golden Chersonese, and in Sanskrit, it's Svarnabhumi, meaning Land of Gold.

There is a mountain on the island of Malaita Province, Solomon Islands (Southwest Pacific) call Ophir (pronounced locally as OFI). From oral history and traditions, some people claimed that their first founding ancestors came all the way from Israel and reached that mountain top. From there they intermarriage with other Melanesian people who were already there. Currently at present, that place is kept as sacred and taboo. I hope proper archaeological and anthropological will confirm if such oral histories are true or not.

Just saying you came from a place then saying it has Precious stones And Hebrew writings and saying you can find precious stones anong the streams and then to have a caveat that its so holy and that you (us) cant go to that place and have King Solomon collect stones himself is just unverified information that a person heard or belief from someone based on assumptions, hearsay, speculations, rumors, gossip and then justifying it that the place is so holy, not Holy but “So Holy” therefore no one (someone) or anybody cant go is so kibosh and laughable, Why? Because what makes precious stones so holy? Does the bible say that Ophir or its natural resources of precious stones was a holy place or holy ?

Ophir is not a Filipino name for gold..
Ophir is a biblical name which is one of the son of Joktan in Genesis.
      Genesis 10:29
Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
Ophir has a brother named Havilah.. An entire land of gold is named after Havilah.
      Genesis 2:11
11The name of the first river is Pishon; it winds through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12And the gold of that land is pure, and bdellium and onyx are found there.…
IT WAS HAVILAH WHO OWNED AN ENTIRE LAND FULL OF GOLD NOT OPHIR

@@9999rosebud there's a shekel of gold from ophir which was dug years ago so we know that there's really an ophir. just watch the God culture and review their research about this. they way more scholarly about this topic than you. 2nd, the philippine's pre colonial past was erased and we don't know why so we cannot discount that havilah may be inside ophir.
