I get wanting to have ones parents blessing to get married. But, one certainly doesn't need permission to get married. My husband asked my dad for my hand in marragie, I was OK with that as I loved my dad and really wanted his blessing. But, when my biofather demanded my husban ask him as well, I told him where to go and gow to get there. Lol
Lmao want to hear something funny, up until 8yrs ago I dated/married the guys both my dad and step-dad HATED those relationships ended badly with abuse in them. 8yrs ago I started dating the guy they BOTH approved of and kept asking WHY I didn't date him. Unfortunately my step dad passed before my now husband and I got together, and my bio dad passed right before we got married. But 8yrs strong and 5 kids, he's what people today call "Toxin Masculinity" and he adores me, we have known each other since I was in Middle school and he was a freshman in HS. He was also my first "boyfriend" and we broke up. But he was and still is always there for me and I love him to death.
I love how the voice of the older woman sounds like a cranky Aunt Bea, or many other actresses in the fifties! She also sounds like the actress who played Mrs. Drysdale in “The Beverly Hillbillies”!😂😂😂🫶
It's so gross when parents think their kids owe them for raising them. You brought them into the world, providing for and raising them was YOUR obligation, it's what you owed them. They don't owe you for you fulfilling your own responsibilities. That's selfish and entitled. You don't own them, you are RESPONSIBLE for them until they become adults. Then they are their own person, you still don't own them. If you did your job well they will live you enough to want to take care of you, but their support is not obligatory. You have no right to demand things simply because you did what you were legally obligated to do.
Felt bad for James. He wasn’t a bad guy or the weirdos who basically want marry their own moms. I can see however that it might be a scary move to make him go no contact with mom before the wedding because what if years later he holds that against you? Sad for both of them.
I did cut ties with my Mom-ster and moved 60 miles away. My brother gave her my address, and she did a popup demanding breakfast, then lunch etc. She did it 3x's in a row! on the 4th popup at 6:00 am on a Saturday, My husband said, this is ridiculous. He went to the front door Naked and threw open the door saying welcome Mudder! I wish I had it on video!
If James ever want happiness, he has to get his mom out of his life. She doesn't want to see him happy, she doesn't give a damn about his happiness. If it doesn't benefit her, she doesn't care. She only cares about herself. The problem here is there's been no consequences to her delusions and actions. She kept crossing boundaries because boundaries weren't set. . mom seem to think her children are her personal ATM and retirement plan. She believes James and whatever poor woman that marries him, owes her for doing her job as a parent. This woman is clearly on drugs and should seek help.. if James is smart, he'd get her out of his life BEFORE he meet and marry. She doesn't serve any purpose in his life, it should be a no brainer to get rid of her. Mother or not.. She only want to use him.
Reading and listening to these stories, has anyone noticed you see the name of only one person. Unless they are in a group chat. Aside from similar storylines, misspellings, and grammar, can we have functional family dynamics. Not all in-laws are horrible people. Not all couples cheat, disrespect each other, or ignore their family.
My brother-in-law asked permission from my mom and me before he proposed to my sister. We weren't his blood family and he still asked us. I think it's just good manners. They've been married ten years now and are wildly happy.
My son-in-law came to ask for my daughter's hand in marriage. I looked at him and said, "No!". (Pause for a few seconds) "You have to take all of her!" 😊
She's gold digging her own son! How much of a Scrooge is she going to be!? You guys will be homless after a while and she will kick you out because you will not be able to give her any more "presents" . That, she will never understand.
If she is wealthy, then why does she need the girl to but her expensive items? She says she needs a new coat - when wealthy people need a new coat, they buy one, not wait until the son's girlfriend buys one for them...
So, the only issue she have is Mitch cheating on her, not him mistaking kristen for her & kicking her out of the house so he can bang some other chick?... that part was just a blip on her radar. Everything that happened to kristen was meant to happen to her.. if it was her in the kitchen cooking he would've threw her out and left her to die.. damn kristen.. I couldn't care any less about him cheating...he's sadistic. He doesn't care about her, I don't think he even likes her, forget loving her. He surely doesn't respect her. The sad part is, according to her, mitch had a lot of "friends" when they were dating. She didn't question or investigate it & married him anyway. Stop ignoring these important red flags that can literally save your life.
These always crack me up though. They Money these people get because a partner cheated. I’d be rich if that were real life. And parents always never speaking to a child that cheated, also doesn’t happen. And who realistically gets fired because they cheated? Lol
Being Italian we don't marry into the family we retain our last name, the husband surname is added to ours. We don't live in our in-law house, it's unthinkable! Presents? Usually is between the spouses, unless is a birthday.
Someone needs to tell his mom that raising him was her job that’s what parents do and they don’t get paid for that, I have 2kids I never ask them for anything but that but me things because thay want to
For goodness sake a daughter in law is not a freaking ATM and NO she doesn't need to put you first she's not dating you . Sally if you are wealthy then why don't YOU buy all those crappy things you are demanding? Mitch dude if you were feeling so alone don't you just play with yourself and play video games like normal people do. So Terry it's ok for you to cheat on your fiance but it's not ok for your affair partner to have a fiance? WOW that's some crappy double standards.

And that is why I never liked either character!

Being a parent is a CHOICE

I would have cut ties with my mom in a heartbeat instead of giving up my marriage!
Same.

Unfortunately, James can't do anything without mommy's approval.

I love the jumbos 💖
Why does an adult need permission from his mother to get married?.
Considering it is a sign of respect and/or cultural. Just because it isn't something YOU understand doesn't mean it isn't valuable.
My brother-in-law asked permission from my mom and me before he proposed to my sister. We weren't his blood family and he still asked us. I think it's just good manners. They've been married ten years now and are wildly happy.
@@BearPawSwipe "Cultural"😂😂 That's a great euphemism for controlling parents.

If you have a toxic mother like that, why are you taking so long to get rid of her?
If you’re going to do compilations, can you please put some time stamps?
Or a least a rest/pause/period

Story One: The Old Bat Needs to Feck Off and do one.
Holy cow wow if he wanted to call it off then why bother lying to her as he is caught
Terry is as slippery as a Snake..Excuses, excuses, gaslighting par excellence..
Karen and he deserve each other...

They're rich but the daughter has to clean up? No gracias

the first story really never has a resolution, just... mom breaks them up and... thats it
if they are so wealthywhy can't b mom buy her own stuff
The guys name is Terry in case you haven't guessed.
Last story was way too long and way too pointless.

The 2 female's voices are to much alike. Not really digging this story at all
